It was 0000 grade. This was done on my old truck, I have a another truck now where I sanded it with wet & dry from 2000, 2500 then finish off with 3000.

Sorry Chris I thought I had replied to you. When I did this video it probably didn’t take long to do, maybe an hour by hand. If you head over to Instagram and look for oatway_trucker you will see what I have been using lately.
For ALCOA wheels you only really need to use a good car shampoo, dry the wheels off then use a glass cleaner with another drying towel to bring the shine out.
@@HurpDurpTV apply the metal polish on to the 0000 grade wire wool. Then rub off with a microfiber cloth Then buff off with another microfiber cloth Keep clothes separate from each method. When you are happy with the wire wool method, stop using it and use a separate microfiber cloth to apply the metal polish. 3 cloth method Is what you want to be doing.
@@DARRENOATWAY how long does it take to get it looking good? I started on the top of the fuel tank today with just a cloth and it started to come through nice, hoping the wire wool method will be faster tho.
The wool that he used is probably 0000. otherwise he would have left too many scratches in the aluminum

After you polish your rims do you put a wheel sealing wax on them to.

@@HurpDurpTV do it as many times as you can, also every other day give the tank a good wash this will bring the fuel tank up even nicer.
What wire wool do you use?
On this tank it was 0000 grade wire wool. I have just finished doing my 2nd tank and it’s even better then this one.
