I missed this game, me and my brother used to battle each other in the versus mode after we maxed out our characters. the game was just such a vibe to play. me and my brother being 7 and 5 this game was peak to us
Same. This was a ton of fun especially when you thought they’d add all the Marvel characters. Who’d you play as? My brother and I always had the most fun as Spider-Man & Nova
Disney Infinity was unironically probably my favorite experience playing any video game, and I grew playing a lot of games. The story modes were so fun and had a great open world vibe to them. The sandbox aspect allowed for some amazing creative outlet especially when considering all the theming elements you could combine given all of the Disney IP. Truly an underrated gem!
Damn bro, I remember playing Disney infinity 2.0. We had all the original avenger characters. I always played Hawkeye and Captain America and I would 1v1 my sister who played Natasha. I was always so hyped when I got to fight Loki and for the final fight with the ice giant guy, almost my whole family played. My dad played Iron Man and my other sister played hulk. These games brought me some of my best memories, and they're the main reason I got into comics and obsessed over marvel. This was the first game I played to completion and first started playing it when I was 5 and kept playing it till 9. Now I'm 14, and I'd genuinely be a different person without having played those games. I also had the Star Wars one, but it didn't hit the same.
Dude this game is my literal childhood. I own like 4 different versions. I play these games religiously everyday even too this day. These games have a special place in my heart
Feels good to see someone finally acknowledge how good that game was. Makes sense, it's been about ten years. All the kids who grew up with it are teens now,
I remember playing the the 3rd version of this game which had Star Wars characters. This game was nice for a while there but sustaining games that require you to BUY collectible characters is gonna be HARD. Which is why genre died cause there was also Lego Dimensions and the OG pioneers Skylanders Content was another thing lacking in Disney Infinity cause you had to buy those add ons too. It was like a game that had infinite dlc😭💀
I feel like Lego Dimensions was the only one that really worked, and it was purely because it was using a product that was already being bought by millions of people every day. Lego is Lego, of course people were gonna buy it.
I feel like Skylanders was fine with character distribution because you could beat the main story with no extra characters. I feel it’s down fall was the over saturation due to releasing a game every year.
I was about 13 when 2.0 came out and I just loved the story modes, though I did wish there were more play sets, though personally I’d say 3.0 is the best of the three in terms of variety. It genuinely warms my heart to see people still play this game years after it was cancelled.
love that people still remember this game, it’s a staple of my childhood personally. especially battling my brother as different characters and just swinging around the city as Spider-Man (the most underrated web swinging in a game no questions asked).
I used to love playing this game all the time it was a good game I think I was probably around like 14 15 when this game came out and I loved the Ultimate Spider-Man TV show.. nice video man
I missed out on this game because I was turned off by the artstyle but I could see myself enjoying this now as I’m older. I was entering my 20s when this came out.
I was a die hard Disney infinity fan as a kid, had all 3 games since release on like 3 different consoles and like 60+ characters and almost all game sets
I have a lot of the figs and keep playing and honestly, the movesets the characters have in this series are probably the best out of any game ever, it's insane how good these games are
I remember this being the first game I ever got, I played the Avengers and Spider-Man playsets endlessly and has so much damn fun. Best Christmas of my life.
I played as spider-man so much I absolutely loved the storyline for him this brings back so much memories, along with Jack Skellington and Jack Sparrow I loved the wide variety of characters there were to choose from
I loved the Disney infinity games. J used to play them on my ps3, not just the marvel one but the actual Disney one as well. I never had siblings, only my dad. He didn’t like much of marvel but he knew I did. we played together almost everyday, fighting each other as hulk vs iron man or spider man vs black widow, or even nova vs thor. At the time I wasn’t that smart so I never completed the game. A few years later I came back to it. I finished the game, almost crying because of all the memories that flew back. I won’t forget the game. I won’t forget the figures either. this will always have a place in my heart.
the Ultimate Spider-Man series was my childhood, I remember having to wait until the new episodes came out, at that time I was too young for this game or I didn't even knew really much about gaming🥰 to add I just remembered I think I played the mobile version of this game if a mobile version even existed?, I can't really say who old I was, I must have been 10 or 11 when I first played this game!
It's cool others are rediscovering this game I spend almost all of my free time modding this in 2023 so it's cool to see others playing again also If you get the game on PC you no longer need the figures
I played this when I worked at gamestop. Had pretty much every character they released. Was truly heartbroken when they announced the closing of the studio. 😢
I legit grew up with this game, the figurines are still sitting somewhere but I got em. I was like 7 or something when this came out, it's a core memory for sure
I miss this game, me and my brother used to play this together, when he unlocked abilities in freeplay i would fight monsters, when I unlocked abilities he would attack me. Fun times.
I remember playing this when I was a little kid, for Christmas I got an Xbox and the first game I got was this one, and the first character and story mode I got was spider man because he was my favorite Glad to see it getting attention again :D
Never played this game but this is awfully similar to web of shadows. Not a bad thing cuz I would've love this as a kid and probably now. It' amazing that this went under the radar.
I was 4 when my brother got it for his 6th birthday, we played it all the time and got surprised with more figures and playsets on christmas, and even as a gift for completing the school year.. good times.
Bro I was 5 when I played this, toys to life phase was peak gaming. The games would get updates so there would be more cool figures, and I ALWAYS played Lego Dimensions and Disney Infinity, It was the best time to be playing games as a young kid imo.
Disney Infinity was so cool, it's so sad that we won't see another entry to the franchise. It's like a LEGO game for people who don't like the LEGO aesthetic
It's been years, but I still remember two levels I downloaded that were pretty much just Castlevania. I think you were supposed to play them with the disney cast, but Spider-Man broke the difficulty/challenge.
Bro this is my absolute childhood, man. I was like 5 or 6 years old I think when I got the phone version. I just used to just run around the classic Disney infinity tutorial world. I dunno why I didn’t get bored but I still loved it.
I used to be obsessed with this game. I was 7 and I literally got my parents to buy me a Wii U just so I could play this game. Me and my brother would play this for hours
me and my little sister played 1.0 when we were super young. we probably spent hundreds of hours having a good time. it was gmod before we knew what gmod was
Disney Infinity was great but they messed up by not allowing characters from different series to interact in the story mode. Lego Dimensions had IPs from totally different companies and they were able to do it.
This video brings me back, I first played this game when I was five years old, I already had Disney infinity but I got the Spider-Man Expansion after the first month of school played it non stop every day, Good times.
some people are defending marvel avenger game saying that its not a spiderman game so thats why the web swing sucks, bro this game got the whole marvel character and still able to create a good web swing
I played this game a lot with my sister we could collect all the characters for the game and fight each other i was like 6 when i played this is was really fun and brings back great memories I'm pretty sure I still have the characters for the game somewhere
I played the IOS version back in highschool, I didn't know there were stories. Or maybe it was just not available on mobile but yes I miss this game 😭. Spidey was one of the heroes I bought first and Disney infinity was one of my first in game purchases 😂.
Bro I was like 10 or 11 years old when I played this. It was so much fun. I must've replayed this like 3 or 4 times. I even collected all the collectables. Fire game.
U should try Disney infinity 3.0. In my opinion it the definitve Disney infinity experience especially the combat is amazing and awesome free roam and creating toyboxes out of the 3 games.
I had all three of the games. Must’ve started around 9-10 y/o. The stories I had/played were (1.0): Monsters Inc, Toy Story, incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean. All fire. 2.0 switched to the Wii U and brought about marvel. I had the avengers and spider man storylines. Both were enjoyable, As well as the two bonus mini game types (played like 2.5d slasher/shooter with loot for your sandbox worlds) it was new and refreshing and the sandbox got way better in this version with the introduction of interiors. 3.0 came around way later with the Star Wars contract/buyout (I started to dislike Disney after this because I knew they’d ruin Star Wars) and I don’t remember that gameplay being new or better in any way. They’d go on to reboot the series several times.

Omg I recently played it and sadly after a few hours got a bit boring but still heat and i still got black spiderman
Same
@@amateur-madman3047 my brother was always spider man while I switched between green goblin and venom

Fun fact: Otto is voiced by Tom Kenny in the Ultimate Spider-Man show lol
having the figures makes it more nostalgic and spiderman and venom is my favorite proud to have them

i remember getting this game as a kid and not liking it and you couldnt trade in the figures at gamestop even if you bought it from them...
i miss this game me and my uncle would play on the xbox 360 and i had so much fun. to this day i remember the storyline
"and even a Gardens of the Galaxy storyline" yes, my favourite team, the gardens 🤣
Funny thing, Black Cat wasn’t in the Ultimate Spider-Man tv show, and Mysterio for the most part didn’t show up until the final season
Man i remember spending hours just swinging and fucking around in the city so nostalgic
I loved this game but the spiderman sections are where I spent my most time. Peter and venom were the only characters I ever fully leveled up lol

Looks like the Ultimate Spider-Man ps2 soundtrack mixed with Web of Shadows esque world/gameplay. Nice.
If you don’t mind me asking, how did you play this game without the actual figures? Love the video by the way, so much does nostalgia.
