@CameraRestore...i bought a used Canon 6D and the only thing that doesn't work is the Wi-Fi connection. The previous owner told me that it stop working during a slightly rain in his Iceland trip. Do you have any suggestion about that ? Like, i don't know, internal wi fi module, motherboard or what else. Thanks ... i appreciate your videos.

Hi thanks, the Wi-Fi module is placed underneath the top cover, you will need to open it up and check the condition. Might be oxidation trace.

@@CameraRestore last question please .... i think to remove the top cover it's needed to remove some rubbers around. How can I put back in place them, kind of glue, replace them or what ? I think you understand what i mean. Thank you very much

Hi, I have a question about a 5D mark 1, cf card pins where bent by previous owner, I have managed to get them back to the right place but getting CF card error when in, would it be better to just replace the reader or is there a way to test the connections are still good? Thanks

Best would be to replace the whole card pins, not an easy job on the 5D ii

I tried modifying a canon 6D camera by removing the LP1 & LP2 filters and replacing them with Astronomik clear glass. Put everything back together and the camera works, except the LCD screen is blank. It will take photos and videos and store to the SD card OK but just a blank screen (top LCD display OK). So I bought another cheap Canon 6D, checked it was working OK and repeated the modification and guess what - exactly the same issue - blank screen but the rest of the camera working correctly ??? Any ideas ????

This is really a weird one. Did you took the battery out while you open the cameras?

Did you check if the screen will show anything when shining a light on it?
I had a camera from Panasonic where the Backlight Fuse was blown, after replacing that the screen worked again.
