I'm hyped to try Terry out in SF6 now And of course I will be maining Mai yet again in Cotw and SF6. An excellent time to be a fighting game fan. Sidenote: I am super amped about the new Eternal Champions movie that's coming. Shadow Yamoto is the only character that I would replace Mai for as my main so if they're doing a movie, hopefully a game is coming afterward.
Pao Pao Cafe is Richard Meyers club. He's FF1 old. The power wave from FF 1 and ground wave from Real Bout are amazing power dunk from KoF and the power charge are amazing to have him keep from his SNK moves. This guy's gonna be cheese. I'm praying for Real Bout Krauser to make a return. Either special or RB2 versions.
Terry is insane. 7 special moves; a ton of target combos; a lvl 2 SA that you can spent Drive Bars and an extra SA bar for more damage... The man has so much stuff that is probably overwhelming. In the hands of pros he's gonna be lethal.

4:22 The move is called "Round Wave"; it can cancel projectiles, knock down the opponent and you can cancel it with other moves, like Crack Shot or Burning Knuckle in some games, but i don't know if that applies in SF6. 6:51 this is called "Power Charge" and you can cancel with Rising Tackle or Power Dunk since KOF 2001 if i'm not mistaken.

The Round Wave knocks down, not the Power Wave. The Round Wave is a move from Fatal Fury Real Bout. His Ex Power Wave is the Power Wave from the first Fatal Fury game.
The small one is Ground Wave not Power Wave. In the real bout games, Ground Wave can hit both lanes and is short range while Power Wave only hits the lane you are in and is a full screen projectile. KOF doesn't have Ground Wave since it doesn't have lanes. It looks like Street Fighter is keeping Ground Wave, but making it a knock down move since there aren't really lanes.
Ground Wave exist in some Nests games of KOF, but I don't remember anymore if it's in all those games, neither if it's in those last classic games like 03 and 11.

Now doing linked lights into a dp is not special, so this could just have been just the optimal finisher for this scenario, but it's hard to see how a character can have so many specials tied to circle motions.
Side attack, a very common movement in Fatal Fury where they attacked you from the left or right, it would be interesting if Terry was given that function more often, it would be difficult to beat him.

I think terry doesnt need to bring new mechanics from his own game into sf, him playing to the sf rule seems good enough for me, and frankly more balanced this way probably. Although he already seems quite strong, but most importantly super fun to play❤
