      As the video title suggest, "Low to Medium PC..." Oh, you noticed the frame drops from recording while it's on a maxed out graphics settings? If only I had mentioned that in the video… oh wait, I did! Funny how no one else who enjoyed the tips and presets had an issue, but I guess we can’t all have super detective skills. Guess we low end peasants were chilling and enjoying the improved graphic with smooth framerate experience instead of focusing on the wrong thing.

This shows you who much stress all the different effects effect your overall FPS, This way you can hone in on the processes that are using the most CPU/GPU which then you can adjust within content managers graphical settings. Can we have a little most of your knowledge to know about what demands more CPU vs GPU?

    • @digitalvei
      @digitalvei  Месяц назад +1

      @@GT4C0 Your GPU is basically the workhorse for most of the visuals-textures, lighting, shadows, and all those shiny effects. This gets especially demanding when you crank up the CSP settings or run a custom Pure PPF preset to boost the visuals. High-res textures, particle effects, and post-processing can really give your GPU a workout. Meanwhile, the CPU handles the behind-the-scenes stuff like physics, car handling, AI (when you’re racing with other cars), and animations. The more cars on the track or detailed physics like tire wear and crashes, the more your CPU has to step up. Generally, AC leans more on the CPU when you’ve got a lot of opponents, but once you start throwing in heavy visual mods, the GPU takes on a bigger load. It’s all about finding that balance between the two.

    mhm.. so Id rather run some lower graphics settings but without the use of FSR
    FSR makes the game look grainy and horrible, no matter what setting i use. It only looks good if u dont move. Only option i can go with would be "best" quality.
    My GTX 970 gives me constant 60+ fps without the use of FSR.
    I tested all combinations, and fidelity wise, for me its better to simply turn some things down and skip on FSR. And run everything on locked 60fps.
    For instance Glare can be turned down, aswell as some csp graphics settings.
    Otherwise overclocking will help aswell.
    But for real potatos the lower FSR options are defenitely important.
    Luckely the new pure LCS gives us all a slight FPS boost, while also looking better. :)
    In some games it can help to use the FPS limiter from Riva Statistics tuner (comes with MSI afterburner)
    Its an old trick but really works in some games. Nobody knows why, but it reduces latency and lag spikes in some games.
    ah and one bonus trick. We people with potato PCs have one advantage. Most of our graphics cards support SLI or Crossfire.
    And a 2nd gpu can often be bought for cheap. For instance could anyone run a RX 570 in crossfire or a GTX 960 in SLI and achieve pretty nice framerates for cheap.
    For instance a GTX 970 SLI setup runs faster then a single 980ti in AC (roughly GTX 1070 niveau)
    AC is one of the games that work well with 2 GPUS, or atleast with SLI as far as i know.
    Only drawbacks are more power consumption and heat (could be lowered if u undervolt both cards), u need a mainboard that can take 2 cards and u need to get a 2nd card and a cheap SLI / crossfire bridge and ur video memory does not stack up, so ur bound to the video memory size of a single card.
    positive is, that it looks damn cool. :D

    • @digitalvei
      @digitalvei  Месяц назад

      Funny thing, I actually had some weird FPS drop spikes on my PC when I lowered the graphic settings (without FSR), which made no sense! I did it after seeing a friend with a similar rig getting a smooth 80+ FPS, so I copied his settings, thinking I'd be golden-but nope, mine was still as smooth as a gravel road. The kicker is, I usually get better performance than him in other games! After some trial and error, I finally sorted it out with the settings in this video. Probably had some background apps partying without my permission, or maybe my PC just decided to take the day off. Who knows? 😄

    • @Satori-Automotive
      @Satori-Automotive Месяц назад

      @@digitalvei yeah there are so many variables on PC. Alone AC has billions of options and combinations.
      And from driver to bloatware a PC can behave totally different. I did a de-bloat once and did latency tuning and disabled any telemetrics and unwanted programs, which defenitely also helps with performance. We have to press out any % possible haha.

    So a mid range $2000+ PC still has lower fidelity, horrible load times, far less car models and of lower quality than a $400 PS5 with Gran Turismo 7? And from the time of being unplugged, to plugged in and racing online against others is about 2 minutes in GT7, versus a couple hours of constantly fiddling and tuning and then dealing with endless driver updates?! GT7 has basically ZERO load times, iRacing it takes so many minutes, absolutely 20+ year old issues left to fester. I think the Stockholm syndrome needs some serious antidote. Folks should be demanding more, but instead are throwing money away and defending their enslavement. male egos be trivial to manipulate, eh? When Gran Turismo offers a Pro Mode with monthly subscription for $10 a month or so for full detailed racing stats tracking and online marshaling and stewarding, folks can experience and enjoy so much more for so much less expense and frustration. You can get a full top of the line Fanatec Direct Drive+ Extreme Wheel, PS5, and GT7 ( and/or AC:C ) and save lots of money up front and so many more hours by having everything work flawlessly out of the box. Results from true passion just far exceed the rest. Hyper optimized quality is unmatched. AC is ok, maybe decent if you have dozens or hundreds of hours to tinker/mod more than race, some of us prefer to race people. In person 2160p or 1440p @120hz is far greater than the compressed ytube 1440p@60, but still vastly exceptional. ruclips.net/video/mZCptbhXE78/видео.html It's great to see the effort, but being aware of the fidelity and performance of the racing sims in the space is very important. The Olympics eSport racing with Gran Turismo 7 and the Mercedes virtual racing competition with iRacing, GT7 and ACC along with the Nations Cup broadcasts really show the spectacular quality and fidelity. And for the cost, it's like the ultimate deal. At the least it's a benchmark to be very aware of.

      @@xDriver69x Sure thing, but my PC cost less than $500 to build, not $2000. Appreciate the tips and the laughs from the GT7 vs. AC comparison! I still hop on GT7 now and then when I'm in the mood for a more laid-back simcade experience with its limited car selection. Both games are fun in their own way and cater to different kinds of players. I’m guessing you're not up to speed with how much AC has evolved over the last decade, especially thanks to its modding community. Two people (not the developers) basically revamped the game’s visuals, realism, and alot of other aspects of the game making it a whole new experience for players worldwide. Comparing a 2014 game to a 2022 one is a bit off, but good insights, bro.

      @@digitalvei he neglected to mention on top of that $120 a year he also has to pay for ps+ so thats another $80, beings gt7 released in 2022 thats $400 in subscriptions and $400 for the console, not exactly a well rounded argument, gotta love console gamers for their ignorance.
