Just seen it. Drawn to add comment. The wonderful quality of your work is agreed on. I was intoxicated by the walk from your house to studio; they seem to be out in countryside; I was hypnotized by the studio; the fact that you love being in the place, and creating in there; being inspired by Nature. I like your soft, mellow voice. You have built up a working practice of high quality; yes, ups and downs to get where you are, but no wonder you get admiring fan mail. It is so inspiring for us.
Love your energetic mark making Krista. I've shared both your videos on my Facebook page for mixedmediaartmagazine and would love to see more from you!
Gaah! Love your work! Taking inspiration from nature is what has driven my paintings as well. Rodrigo y Gabriela songs in the background!? Beautiful. A couple of my favorite musicians to listen to when I paint.
Thrilling work. I had been familiar with your work previous to a trip to Santa Fe I recognized your work immediately. I was delighted I see you on line So inspiring JOAN
Thanks Michael, I am glad you connected with the art and the setting. It's particularly beautiful here right now and Im lucky to be able to create here. It does inform my work in so many ways.
This work is very inspirational for me. Her way of using nature in art is precisely how I think it should be done and each person who does it this way will naturally see it their own way and create it their own way.
I love your process and especially trying to take sounds from Nature as an important part of the inspiration - this is what painting can do so extremmely Well - Express experience and intertwining all going into a devotion to whatever you focus on - so Well done 🎵💜🎶
I really find your work so engaging. all spontaneous .....love it all! Is there a video of you working? Is a book of your work available. Inspirational.
Looks like Krista had a lot of fun painting these works of art. With a confidence and maturity, only that of a self actualized, confident painter can express through the nurturing of talent and gift for painting. The many years that it takes to achieve a style that is so expressive, fluid and free flowing as shown in these works has me in awe. I hope to see Krista Harris's paintings in person one day. Even better would be to see her in a solo show.
Thank you for sharing glimpses of your very inspiring thought and work - its very beautiful and i really disappeared into experiences of beauty and mystery
A very inspirational video. I love you very free interpretation of nature. Krista, can you tell me what products you're using to do your rough sketching in the beginning? It looks like you use crayon and then a medium to make the sketch more visible. I would be very interested to know?
Fantastic. Your work is such an inspiration. I was watching the Aimone, Expressive drawing video, when suddenly there was a close up of some marks being made, and I instantly thought, "hey, I know those marks, is that Krista Harris?". Also, interesting choice in music for the clip. I had no idea that Rodrigo y Gabriela had recorded a cover of a Metallica song.
Krista, I love watching your process! You're so inspirational. Please post more of these videos. I subscribed in hopes that we'll see more. Btw, what type of pencil are you using in the beginning... Stabilo? Also, your paintings appeals to me because they are so organic feeling. I love when I look at your paintings, I feel like I'm sitting next to a stream, or in a field, or some imaginary world I stubbled upon. I would love to be able to paint like that.
Your talent is memorizing~~thank you so much for sharing with all of us around the World. I was wondering, what type of black crayon do you use in the beginning? Warm greetings from Canada!!
I can't adequately express how grateful I was to hear the artist recognizing the presence of the 't' when describing her work. It's beyond tiresome hearing the word "paining" so frequently spoken. The music was sublime, the art beautiful, an eloquent lady.
The focus of light seems to emerge from the left side of the painting, from where it illuminates predominantly dark or gray shapes giving the painting an appearance of darkness. to recommend my favorite artists Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Frida Kahlo, Roberto Matta Gabino amaya cacho and Pablo Picasso.
Love your work very much. I am 65 and used to use oils. Lots to learn with acrylics but getting there slowly. Do you use a black oil pastel for your design in the beginning?
thank you very much for your video, uncommonly inspiring - you have n list of the materials you use, especially the charcoal you use and if so how fix you along the way. Maybe you could make a video about your matarials ? kh Tina from Denmark
Your work is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing. . Do you ever use house paint? I wondered if you could tell me the best way to mix a big amount of paint on your palette without going broke!
Thank you! To answer your question I sometimes use house paint, or rather I did in the beginning of my work. It's a great way to experiment without going through a lot of expensive paint. It doesn't have the same intensity or quality of pigment in the long run though.
Thank you! I use every kind of paint and medium I can get my hands on, the same is true for charcoal, crayon, graphite, any mark making tool works. I have even experimented with making my own tools and mediums.
@@KristaHarrisArt Hello Krista, I'm glad I identified one of the main interests of your artistic work. You are also an excellent colorist, I really like your work. I do a very small artistic work and I live in the south of France, Jocelyne. Long live the translation google...

I love when the work embodies movements of Nature - yours does that in a very tactile and multidimensional way - it opens into beautiful dreaming

@@KristaHarrisArt I appreciate your reply. I'm still struggling with how best to mix up a lot of paint with acrylics and how not to let it dry up.
j'adore j'adore j adore! it's impressionisme
merci, merci, merci!
What are your favorite large brushes? ♥️
Wonderful work! Could name what you are drawing with before you start painting. Thank you!
Thank you. I'm using a water soluble black crayon to draw with.

I used charcoal made from burnt wood. It was great stuff for an underdrawing. :)
Thank you!
Orion! I'm sticking around
Haha! Yep Orio makes it all worthwhile!
@@KristaHarrisArt Well, I was sticking around regardless, but the song didn't hurt. It's one of my favorites.
Eres maravillosa¡
Muchas gracias Mario!

cool metallica's Orion cover
Who's playing the guitar? It sounded like Di Meola at one point. Great playing.
super art
Kindred spirit...nice
Thanks very much
you sur you're not Monica Seles?
Cool..❤
Thank you!
What's the song at the beginning ???
Rodrigo y Gabriella are the musicians, wonderful music to work by!
I think they are playing a Metallica song but on nylon strings gtr... By the way your work it is so appealing & captivating... Thanks !
I think someone mentioned that Metallica reference to me me earlier but I had forgotten it. I'll look into it, thank you for your comments Alejandro
Metallica - Orion from the album "Master of puppets"
Istvan Harsanyi Exactly Orion, it took me 2 minutes to recognise it
What is this music?
The music is by Rodrigo and Gabriella
Thank you.....I will use it while I paint as well....
That is an acoustic version of Metalla's Orion
krista Harris👍
sorry I don't get this ...must change my medication ...
HA! I love that comment!
