    Yes! I love the idea of the hanging bar! I jammed my shoulder by falling, windmilled, backwards off a bosu ball and a year later, inline skating. I swim 5 days a week and my shoulders ache. I modify my strokes but.... I'm 72 and in good health, just arthritic. Thank you for your videos ❤

    From 158kg and severe health and spine problems i can thank you for over time. Improving my stroke style from completely incompete to almost competent. Although i have just faken 2 weeks off due to a sore shoulder from not breast stroking correctly. The pull up bar would be a great help. Especially if it was on some kind of cable... flying fox type thing allowing for different depths. Might cause some safwty issues as kids would find it a fantastic play toy.

    I've already suggested to friends hanging on a bar to help fixing their spine and it worked very well for them.
    I do all points recommended and feel good with 36 years age. Had to laugh and smile when comming to the best solution at 8:10 :) 🏊‍♂ This channel is upfront and gives usefull advice, love it!

    You can use resistance band or a pulley system to deload weight for pullups or deadhangs. You should also look at rock climbing it's very good for posture, a lot of hanging, strengthening back muscles and core strength. My posture improved dramatically after starting rock climbing and focussing on pull-ups.

    My back hurts in my scapula area. I’ve been able to deduce that it because of my neck being forward in a hunch position the majority of the time since I work with computers. I wish there was a way I could correct this other than forcing myself to reposition & correcting my posture consciously because when I correct my head posture it hurts to hold it in the correct position.

      Many years of software dev and prior to that electronics service, my back and neck were in constant pain. I’ve had some relief via a PT that used the McKenzie Technique and also getting a massage by a licensed Massage Therapist. Swimming is a plus and a minus. Plus, since it’s great exercise, and minus, since it’s very technical and done wrong could be a slow future pain. So, leaning into learning Total Immersion style.

      Looking down will let you have a tighter streamline and will be better for the position of your spine, specially close to the neck.

  • @raulramirezcosiovillegas1240
    @raulramirezcosiovillegas1240 11 месяцев назад

    This really doesn't make sense. You are saying that the spine needs movement and that you should shift positions while doing certain activities. Swimming only works the spine in a horizontal position, so it becomes a bad habit if you don't counteract with different exercises. I swam competitively for 9 years and my posture is terrible. And if you don't believe me, look at professional swimmers. Swimmer's shoulder is a medical term used for a reason. Also, the water compresses your rib cage and makes breathing harder, making the diaphragm weak, obliging other aiding breathing muscles to work harder.
