Turbulence happens, severe turbulence happens more often in certain parts of the world. Sometimes turbulence can be avoided sometimes it can't be predicted or detected enroute.
Always keep your seat belt on , stow cabin bags properly and don't panic if it happens.

If the aviation industry advanced at all planes would have dimples like golf balls to increase strength, reduce weight, improve aerodynamics and stabilize flight. Our fastest craft resembles the peregrine falcon. The peregrine falcon is the fastest dive bombing bird. The golf ball has dimples like a peregrine falcon and every other bird that has ever flown. Birds are perfect but planes and humans are not so we say no catastrophe goes to waste because they're all engineered in a way good watches have capacitors not batteries unfortunately God is for lithium miners to blame for California falling into the ocean 🙏.

it was a 787 though, not a 737 MAX, which is where the issues are at. This is the ONLY incident the 787 has had since 2013, that's a pretty good run, and prob had nothing to do with the aircraft, but I'll wait til the accident report comes out to say for sure.

Yeah they don’t have the anti-turbulence systems that create shields around the airplane (very similar to Star Trek shields) where the laws of physics cease to exist within the bubble. It’s very high tech.
