Just throwing this one out there because I recently saw this, but Miami’s equipment truck wasn’t even halfway to Berkeley for Saturdays game as of Wednesday afternoon. Maybe do a video about the logistics that come with conference realignment and the distances they travel now.
Very fitting the Army runs the ground pounding triple option offense. Also...when Army, Navy come together, it's the best looking football game of the year without question.
@jeremiahtisdell4823 I'm a Stanford fan and boy i miss those 2010 to 2015 golden years. Mike Leech refusing to run the ball, having his QB throw it 75 times.
Kind of surprised he had army and navy both losing to Notre Dame I mean Notre Dame already lost to Northern Illinois they could easily lose to one or both of them hope they do to
I kinda have to agree with you there. But, if Army and Navy can both beat Notre Dame, this will be history. And, for me, I’ve got connections to both Army and Navy. My grandfather on my Dad’s side, who I call Grandpa, served in the Army in the Medical Branch from 1966 to 1969. My brother-in-law, who I would call my brother since I have two older sisters, currently serves in the Navy.
They won’t get any players from the transfer portal. But it can work to their advantage. The coaches keep and develop the same players in their program. Other teams in their conference will have new players every year that have to face the triple option offense. An offense they haven’t seen since maybe junior high or never seen at all.
Yeah the academies are a headache to prepare for. Of course every week is a new game plan but preparing for the triple option is so different then what a defense typically sees. They're Almost throwing out the usual playbook for a one-week special defense.
Notre Dame was heavily criticized pre-season for having both Navy and Army on their schedule. We're not hearing that now. And neither game will be played at ND.
Last time both service academy’s were this good a world war was on the horizon or it was during a world war…… LETS GO BABY ITS ALMOST WARTIME GO ARMY BEAT NAVY IN THE PLAYOFFS
A few minor comments... The Army team is historically referred to as The Cadets, and since 2000 or so as The Black Knights. The 1960's were not good years. Army's last great season was 1958. The season was chronicled in the great book, "When Saturday Still Mattered". Army did not run the triple option offense until 1983 when Jim Young was hired as the coach. Prior to 1983, they ran a variety of offenses that were not effective. In 1999, then AD, Rick Greenspan fired coach Sutton, then hired his friend Todd Berry to coach the team. Berry installed a pro set passing offense, scrapping the triple option. The results were disastrous. Losing seasons. Berry was fired. Greenspan Ieft. Army was bad, bad, bad. Ellerson was hired as the coach in 2008. He brought back triple option football, won some, but he could not beat Navy. Ellerson was fired, replaced by Monken. From Day 1, Monken changed the culture of Army football, with the support of the AD, Boo Corrigan. LOSING IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE AT ARMY. NO EXCUSES. Coach Monken is the real deal. Always looking to improve the program, while still maintaining the USMA standards for Cadets. The teams got better. Guys wanted to play at Army. The transfer portal has hurt other teams, but not Army. They build teams, they cannot recruit out of the portal. As a long time Army fan, this is a special time for Army and the other service academies. Beat Navy! Hell, Beat them All!
"Hail, Alma Mater dear, To us be ever near, Help us thy motto bear Through all the years. Let duty be well performed, Honor be e'er untarned, Country be ever armed,West Point, by thee." E'er may that line of gray Increase from day to day, Live, serve, and die, we pray, West Point, for thee." Salute to our military! GO ARMY BEAT NAVY!
Ok first off let me say I think it’s cool both teams are good and their style of play makes them a tough out for teams but neither team has played a good opponent. They get into the meat of their schedule now so we’ll see if they’re legit or not.
This felt like the best time to post a video like this, what other unique topic should I cover next?
Maryland is shit go to Baltimore

Yeah, nah, give me a BIG12/ Pac12 after dark style shootout that ends looking like a basketball score
Amen! I look forward to Army Navy every year. Of course, each of the three military academy matchups is special football.

I want Army to beat a ranked Notre Dame because they will have a rivalry again.
Notre Dame and Army were never Rivals. Navy and Notre Dame are already rivals no one cares about army. Navy is way more historic
Kind of surprised he had army and navy both losing to Notre Dame I mean Notre Dame already lost to Northern Illinois they could easily lose to one or both of them hope they do to
This year Army-Navy game will really be something to watch this year both are currently undefeated.
Imagine if Army and Navy are both undefeated by week 14 in the rivalry game. Notre Dame is going to be tough though.

There’s a legitimate outside shot the Army vs Navy game this year could have playoff implications for the first time ever. Depending on what happens
As a navy fan Ty for giving these guys love

The best win of Army recently is the 2018 Bowl game Army vs Houston. Great defensive battle.
I'm glad you covered these teams.
I really want to see Army and Navy play each other in the conference championship and the Army Navy game.
Yes
Yeah I remember our center one year was around 240-250
Salute to the grind. Channel has grown massively. Respect
Shoutout to Coach Cronic, my brothers coach at Mercer. My bro told me he would succeed at Navy he’s a good guy as well
He is an exceptional coach for Navy.
Navy and Army have NFL hall of farmers dude
Yes! And they consistently send players to the NFL.
This video was well created. Thank you for posting this!

One of the best rivalries in sports! #GoArmy #BeatNavy
Both teams are 5-0 now, Navy beat Air Force 34-7 and Army defeated Tulsa 49-7
ARMY vs Tusla who do you have? I have Army.
Tulsa by fourth quarter overpowering 🤷🏿♂️
Easy one for Army.
@@davidwehrle835 Don't be so sure.
@@davidwehrle835 I have Army winning 28-14.
Would love to see either of these teams throw a "wrench into the CFB playoff machine"

Navy beat ranked (at the time) Memphis.
Soooo would they just make the Army-Navy game the conference championship? that'd be very wild GO ARMY BEAT NAVY
If either of them beat ND and go undefeated, they need to be in the CFP.

Actually I'd rather see Navy beat Notre Dame than Army. If Navy's QB continues what he's doing he should in the running for the Heisman.
GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY⭐️
Dawg that’s because ww3 is around the corner
Notre dame lost to NIU, they can lose to anybody I wouldn’t bet on it but I’ll never count it out
The problem is that they regularly play Army and Navy and are usually ready for the run game.
