Hi Doctor, thank you for providing these informative videos. I had my second levator resection surgery to correct congenital ptosis in end of 2019. The second surgery did fix the substantial drooping affect of the eyelid however the dry eye problem because of incomplete eye closure and my eyelid completely hidden under the fat pad made me regret that decision. When i did consult the surgeon he mentioned that he can perform a small revision surgery where he will remove the fat pad and raise the eyelid higher to make a crease. That surgery couldn't take place due to covid and then i moved for work to New Zealand and learnt to live with it however since i moved to the netherlands in 2022 i am facing quite some pressure on my eyelashes which leads to irritation and the cold weather in winters exacerbates the dry eye affect. I did get a consultation from a couple of plastic surgeons and they were quite frank and blunt to state the risks involved with any furher surgery. Firstly, the amount of levator muscle resectioned is unknown as they speculate by the looks of it that my eyelid has been overcorrected. Scondly, they doubt raising the eyelid skin back to the natural crease is a good approach since it will add to the unsymmetry and may make the dry eye affect even worse. Are there any standard or known surgery methods to alleviate the problem? Thanks 😊
Hi @The9988111309, Sorry to hear about your problem. When it comes to oculoplastic surgery, there are more specialized procedures that are not performed by plastic surgeons since they are not trained in them. I would have to examine your eyelids, and assess your levator muscle function before I can recommend specific procedures for your case. Dry eyes can be managed before, during, and after surgery. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hi @anum3702, Lip fillers are safe if they are done by an experienced doctor. The volume effect of PRF only lasts 3 weeks, so it's not a suitable filler material. You can refer to these videos about the safety of lip fillers, and why PRF or PRP can't replace fillers: ruclips.net/video/znqAXiMN6KQ/видео.html ruclips.net/video/GO1taD9mtKs/видео.html ruclips.net/video/5f7_CLtYzNY/видео.html
My ptosis surgery was NOT cosmetic, but function gain. Right eye is 60-70% of vision, left eye 30-40%, left eye droop more pronounced & obstructed, but didn't matter due to vision so weak in left eye. So, had both eyelids 'shortened' to unblock vision. Left eye came out fine, right eye came our WORSE. Entire game was to correct vertical double vision because of ptosis causing wrinkle in cornea, causing vertical double vision., causing loss of detail in all times. Now worse as max lift of right eyelid is LOWER than before surgery. This has been an emotional disaster. This can be "revised" or corrected? Probably result in inability to close eyelid, right?
Hi @silaslongshot941, Sorry to hear about your problem. Yes, ptosis correction can be done to focus on function only, which is often the case when it's covered by insurance. As I answered in your other comment, it can be revised, and you should follow up with your surgeon for correction of your surgery. I hope this helps you.
Hi @anum3702, Laser skin resurfacing can help treat pigmentation in certain skin types, and is mainly for removing the top layer of skin so a fresh layer can grow in. It may not be safe for darker skin types. You can refer to this video about it - ruclips.net/video/jG6EV7dQeb8/видео.html
Hi Doctor. I had a DHI hair transplant in March 2023. I have been taking finasteride since the beginning. However, I’ve started using minoxidil only 8 months after the transplant because I had irregular growth. At this point, the places that were weaker look even worse. When can I expect even, full growth?
Hi @ultraaudiokaraoke2137, Sorry to hear about your problem. You do need to ask your transplant surgeon as I don't know how your transplant was performed. FUE transplants do take at least some grafts from areas that are still prone to hair thinning. Minoxidil doesn't thicken hair, but rather delays it from shedding; and finasteride is mostly for slowing hair thinning. You can refer to the videos about possible causes of delayed growth, and a lack of density after a hair transplant: ruclips.net/video/YXEAxJTpumM/видео.html ruclips.net/video/hBeBbCXPHFA/видео.html
Hi doctor i completed 110 days after my hair transplant. now onwards i started preparing for my exams .i study the whole day ( only three months left for my exams ) so i study full day everyday from now i study by reading a lot. I get good amount of sleep and i do meditation and excersise everyday. will studying with reading whole day affect my hair transplant result. should i worry doctor?
Hi @joshiY1, Studying should not affect your hair transplant results. However, if you're still in school, you're likely under 30, which is too young to have a hair transplant. You can refer to this video about why hair transplants are not recommended for men under 30 - ruclips.net/video/2GkCy-30hFg/видео.html
Hi @mariacaballer4622 , I send you a different video about revising lower eyelid surgery on your other comment. For revision upper eyelid surgery, timing is very important as you want temporary swelling to resolve before further surgery, as operating on swollen tissue will make results highly inaccurate. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hello doctor I went for one session of Fotona 4d. The doctor did on the eye bags too. Now its look like fat has spread and it's more obvious than before. Now it seems to have shifted down.
Hi @Akichur1, Laser treatment on the skin is not the treatment for eye bags, which are caused by fat under the skin, and under the muscle. You can refer to these videos for about why lasers don't treat eye bags, and the best options to treat eye bags: ruclips.net/video/cU0B9-IahGk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/46Kp6ayfyzg/видео.html

Hi @mixingreactionvideo, You shouldn't believe hearsay. Unless there are serious complications during surgery, cosmetic surgery does not shorten lifespan. Doctors, including plastic, and cosmetic surgeons, take an oath to do no harm. Unnecessary anxiety, and stress do affect you health, so I suggest you don't worry so much about how your procedures you've had done. I hope this clarifies things for you.
sir, why can't revision upper blephoplasty in 3 months what the reasons.... ? i eager to know becoz I can't wait atleast 6 months, this upper blephoplasty made me anxiety disorder if i wait more then I'm sure that i will go at mental disorder
Hi @onlyforstudy-vp7xc, As explained in the video, temporary swelling from surgery affects the accuracy of revision surgery, so you need to wait until swelling resolves before you can have revision surgery. Swelling can also obscure final results, so you have to wait. If you rush revision surgery, your results will likely be worse as the surgeon would be operating on a moving target. I hope this clarifies things for you.
yes, i got sir, lots a thanks to you, but i have some qestion again is , if i go for revision upper blephoplasty in 3 months, will there any side effects during the surgery and afterwards? bcoz sir, i can't tolerate anymore event i cancel my neet preparation cause of this anxiety disorder which formed due to very very unsatisfied with my eyelids event i can't go in public, sir please any solution? because you are the only hope doctor that i have seen, another one is if i remove my silicone rhinoplasty will there any side effects all entire of my life time ? please reply sir, gid bless you
Hi@@onlyforstudy-vp7xc, Like I already said in the previous response, and in the video, having revision surgery too early can make things worse. If you don't like your results now, how do you think you will like it when your appearance is even worse? Wait until your swelling resolves so you can see your results, and decide on a revision. Also, you have not seen in me for a formal consultation, so if you'd like further advice, you should book a consultation with me, or another doctor. I hope this clarifies things further for you.

You should be guided by your surgeon who knows these details, and they can physically examine you if you have concerns. I hope this helps you.
Hi doctor i had a doubt to ask. i undergone a hair transplant procedure of 3500 grafts fue which covered my frontal area. at 4 months i noticed some of those hairs had grown and the rest is growing. Now iam in 5 th month while applying monoxidil i can see some hairs very few mostly one hair will loose from the transplanted area from the already grown hairs. i heared that everybody looses 100 hairs a day as a part of hair growth cycle it can loose anywhere from scalp including donor zone if this is true i will loose my transplanted hairs also part of hair cycle. Can this happen at this point after hair transplant is this normal
Hi @Vybhavvarani, It's not true that you lose 100 hairs a day. We normally shed 50-100 hairs a day as part of the normal hair growth cycle, but shed hair does grow back, so it's not lost. Pattern hair loss is when shed hair grows back thinner, there could be a delay in regrowth of hair, and the number growth cycles are limited, so there could be difficulty in growing hair beyond a certain length. Minoxidil also delays the natural hair shedding cycle, so if you stop using it, or loses effectiveness, you can have a higher than normal hair shed. It is important to note that at least some hair grafts used in FUE hair transplants are still prone to hair thinning. You can refer to these videos on how we can improve hair thickness and scalp coverage after multiple hair transplants, and on finasteride; and how our TrichoStem Hair Regeneration patients don't need to use minoxidil after our treatment: ruclips.net/video/rIlI55F478w/видео.html ruclips.net/video/T5iPdCfZ2Ng/видео.html
sir, I have revision upper blephoplasty surgery but problem is its stitched opened early in two days during applying antibiotic ointment, will my eyeline come it's incision revision path ? please it's compulsion bcoz my surgeon don't response my call , messages!
Hi @mixingreactionvideo, Sorry to hear about your problem. You should go back to your surgeon immediately even if they don't take your call. Sutures are not supposed to be removed until at least a week after surgery, so you need this addressed by your surgeon immediately. I hope this helps you.
