It really something to see how beloved Mega Man is from the gaming community. There are quite a few fan made Mega Man games coming out in the near future that I'm really looking forward to playing. Let's be honest, Capcom has also been generous in allowing fans to make them. Even going as far as helping them...MM vs SF. Technically, If capcom wanted to, they could have all fan made games shut down sighting them as copyright infringement. But, they don't and I'm thinkful for that.
Why are people surprised Roll uses a broom as a weapon? That's what she used in Megaman Powered Up.

I love the colors. It really looks like an elaborate NES game, even though most of it is too much for NES to handle. Shovel knight had a similar approach.
The graphics look like "NES plus" but the sound is considerably more advanced than even SNES. Makes sense because the soundtracks were always one of the most memorable aspects of the games.
Actually, stuff like Parallax Scrolling is something that was apparently done towards the end of the NES' life cycle.
The colors and graphics remind me of a Turbo Grafx game.
My thoughts exactly. Seeing the game in action has me think NES 1.5. Not quite the SNES, but A step or two beyond what the NES could do. (Definitely in number of sprites on screen at once. Kerby looks something like this, but with less happening per-scan line.)
@@999apeman Technically the Famicom, the Japanese equivalent of the NES, could output the same sound with the help of the N163 sound chip combined with the base 2A03, but it would be nigh impossible to get the visual quality of this game running on the console.
This is one of the more impressive megaman fan-games I am sick of seeing the original 8bit at this point

Two years and Pefect Blue is still in demo stages. I hope its not an abandoned fan project because this truly looks epic.
Also, shooting AND sliding at the same time? Its such a simple, yet amazing idea that I can't believe nobody had made it before!

I like how it takes inspiration from Shovel Knight; you can (presumably) kill checkpoints for lots of bolts and the stage boss theme is a remix of the stage theme.
Yeah, I honestly think this works better than the "lives" construct, as it lets you make the game as risky as you'd like. It's a quality of life feature that I'm disappointed Capcom itself didn't steal from Shovel Knight.
@@999apeman Lives are honestly just an antiquated concept altogether; either you get so many of them they become meaningless or you constantly run out of them and lose progress.

If i had to guess, there’s probably some kind of risk-reward system tied to them, or it could just be an optional challenge

@@souptaels it seems that you can kill the checkpoints this obviously makes it harder as you have to go back to the last checkpoint but if you kill all of em and survive the bosses will notice how blood lust you are and will become hard idk it's just an idea

I see comments on here talking about endorsing this game. If Capcom would endorse a fan game, then they should definitely endorse the New Megaman X fan game that is 10 years in development. That game looks outstanding.

Yeah the game is amazing and looks beautiful but I feel like from that intro stage some placements are a bit strange and could use improvement but overall the game is awesome

This feels a lot like the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Wily Wars Mega Man games. It plays in a similar style to them as well, less like the NES versions more like the Genesis one. If this were sold back when for full retail price, I don't doubt kids would have been clamoring to get a copy.
This game has Sony PlayStation 1/Sega Saturn graphics, but NES/PCE/SNES style aesthetics.
Game is rejecting keyboard commands for some reason. Z gets past the disclaimer, but the menu doesn't budge no matter what key I press. Fixes?
Good to see this game is making progress. It does bother me ever so slightly that the Shield Joes never use their shields defensively. Not that it would matter much against Roll's apparently adamantium broom that can slice even Mets and Spine-equivalents in half.

Ah yes, Megaman defeated all robot masters, Wiley, saved the world, but is helpless against his biggest enemy: roombas.
I just hope it’s not the type of pixel art type of game where the main antagonist is glitches.
I like the concept, but it’s getting overused.
The main thing I hate about glitches being used in story/gameplay, is that the creators make it so that the game is literally impossible to be completed without the glitches, which ruins the immersion. I want to see a game that “seems” like its normal, then it goes off the rails due to glitches. I don’t mean by making two completely different games (one with glitches and one without), I just want to see the glitches as possibly unintentional.

Please remove the damage amount numbers on enemies, or at least give it as a players choice to remove it in options. Megaman never needed that. Megaman was meant to have a clean visual. No enemy life bars or numbers showing damage amount. Please remove it.
I don't think they are the original creators, and i think it's pretty cute that damage counter for the enemies.

Little things like screen shaking and shooting while sliding make me want to play this. I'm definitely going to download the alpha and give it a shot (pun intended).
I still remember that "Intro Stage" teaser back in 2019, for a secret project (now MM Perfect Blue). Glad this game has come far since.

I think there are some genuinely good ideas in here and the look and feel of the game is spot on! And that music is incredible! The only thing I can think to complain about would be that some of the enemy placement is out right abysmal. There are certain sections where it looks like it is 100% impossible to progress without getting hit. But otherwise, this looks like a very solid game!
