As an introvert, I can relate. I'm up at 4am for 5 hours of silence and alone time, before the wife and dogs intrude, and I must...speak. I grocery shop at 6 am to avoid "crowds". Recently, I read a comment in a YT video about introverts: when I speak to somebody for an hour, I need to be alone for the next 24. My wife finds this strange, given that I can do public speaking to hundreds of people and think nothing of it. People often think that shyness and being an introvert are the same. Nope.

Introverts can be highly pleased to see someone *and* not really want to chat. A big smile and heartfelt “Hey, girl!” are really all we need most of the time.

I know this is supposed to be a funny sketch, but there is a total difference between being introverted and being anti-social and having social anxiety. Introversion is, by definition, a typically reserved or quiet person who tends to be introspective and enjoys spending time alone. Not one that hides and can't be in a social situation. I'm introverted, but I can pretty much talk to anyone, I would just prefer to be by myself more.

    Tips for shopping for introverts.
Go to the store as soon as it opens, and on weekdays as there are far less people and most of them are introverts.
Make a list based on the layout of the store to ensure you are in and out as quickly as possible.
Be sure to purchase enough to last you at least a month to limit the number of trips you have to make.
NEVER make eye contact or smile at other people. This is often interpreted as an invitation for them to engage.
Develop your “Don’t F*ck with me” look in case you accidentally make eye contact.
Use the self checkout lines to lessen the chances of being trapped in a line with other shoppers.
Use the scan and go app if available so you can skip the checkout area altogether.
Park close to the cart return so you don’t have to walk to far to return the cart.
Return home, unload your car, lock the door, and begin the process of recovering from being out in the wild. 😊😂

This was hilarious! I specifically relate to the getting up before the family so you get some alone/quiet time. I get up two hours before everyone each morning so I can enjoy my coffee and watch MY tv shows before I wake the house up and help everyone get ready for the day. If not for those 2 hours I'd never get to watch my shows. lol

I was late to the grocery store today (because of a "small" bicycle race in my timezone) and I was almost alone in the store! That actually made me very happy. I had to queue behind the two others that decided to pay at the same time though, so the happiness meter sank a little bit. But then I bought one of my favorite fast food dinners, so it went up again.
