How to Connect iPad Magic Keyboard (tutorial)

Let's say you purchased the magic keyboard for your iPad, now what? Well even if you know some basics about it, it's a good idea generally to find out more about the product you're about to use, so here in this shorter video, I'm going to show you how you can set it up and connect it + some things to pay attention to.

Just got mine in the mail today. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U The corners of the box was a little smashed but I think that’s more of the shipping’s fault. iPad was in perfect condition though. I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.

I always attach the keyboard from the pins and not from the camera, because I’m afraid I’ll ruin the pins in the long run if I “violently” and blindly connect it, like in the video. There are reports of pins wearing off so that’s something to keep in mind for such an expensive keyboard. Just my two cents.

I use this keyboard for work and school and I need to type papers sometimes. The iPad keeps the iPhone key layout and doesn’t register all keys properly. For example my minus or dash key is typing as a question mark. My plus key is an upside down expiration mark my comma key is a bracket or parenthesis and so on. Yes its easy but also stupid that it doesn’t register the keyboard and the keys. I hope this make sense.

I read on line how all the other keys on the Magic Keyboard do special things( like the globe key brings up the emoji’s) mine doesn’t do that… I use it with a 5th generation iPad Air..is that why? It’s not a Pro iPad..
