    Came across your channel yesterday and I absolutely LOVE your content! This nap mat is adorable, is it machine washable? And can I put it inside the dryer machine?

    • @RooneySewingPatterns

      Thank you so much, Ana! That is encouraging :) For the nap mat, I recommend washing it and hanging it to dry to protect the velcro and fabric.

      I put 3 seams down the middle to hold the filler in place otherwise it will bunch up when u wash n dry it.

    Does this particular batting wash well? Our daycare sends her bedding home to wash every week and i want to make sure this batting will be able to stand to weekly washings. Thanks!

      Hi Anna! It works great for us - you may just want to double check the wash settings on the package when you get it :)

    Hi,
    I’d like to try to attach the pillow to the mat,so it won’t get lost at school. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you 😊

    • @RooneySewingPatterns
      @RooneySewingPatterns  2 года назад

      Hey Elaine,
      I've been thinking about this and I thought of two things:
      You could attach the pillow with velcro or another idea is to sew the pillow in between the top and bottom layers. This would mean you need to sew across the width where the pillow would go (hand stitch may be easiest here) so the pillow doesn't move around.
      Hope this helps!

    i ended up needing three yards of strapping instead of the two suggested to make two 40” straps and a 12” carrying strap

      thank you for letting me know! I'll be changing this detail for clarity.

    Aprox how much do you spend making it? I need to make 8 and unfortunately I have a budget of $15 for each mat 😞

    • @RooneySewingPatterns
      @RooneySewingPatterns  2 года назад +1

      Hi Micaela, I don't remember how much I spent, I can calculate it. If you need to spend less, I recommend sourcing fabric from the thrift store. The fabrics will be larger if you find sheets/duvets and go much further.

    Where are you getting the middle measurement from for the straps. I’m having an issue understanding. Can you help please

      Hi Cheryl, are you talking about the measurement for the carrying handle or how far apart to place the straps?

    For care instructions, do you just throw it all in the washer and dryer?

    • @RooneySewingPatterns
      @RooneySewingPatterns  2 года назад

      I throw it in the washer but I air dry it!

    • @ambergranger7486
      @ambergranger7486 2 года назад +1

      I sewed seams down the middle 3 of them exactly just bc the fill inside will get bunched up when u wash n dry it.
