Don't baby the throttle during break in, the rings need the cylinder pressure under load to seat correctly, not constant speed, but a good bunch of acceleration and driving a little aggressive. I believe the compression rings are keystone type, and cylinder pressure affects the seating, not enough pressure during break in will result in a glazed cylinder wall that doesn't seal with the rings

Filling the reservoir above the hpop would have helped as well when I take these that far apart I remove the hpop lines from the heads and use and oil can to fill the heads with oil. Helps get the air out a bit faster and easier on your starter. Beautiful truck.

Vaccum fill your cooling system next time, it allows you to check for leaks and removes any air from the system, also you wont have to wait to bleed the air out of the system/ add extra coolant during the warm up process

You hook the tool up to the coolant bottle and pull about 10 to 15 inches of vaccum. Wait about 10-15 mins see if the vaccum dropped, if not dip the hose in the gallon jug of coolant and flip the lever, that easy
