Agreed. When the electric cars are really ready, people will be ready for them. Range, price, and charging rates of the current crop just don't fit into most people's needs. Lovecars totally get it and it was obvious you don’t have the EV love. So maybe don’t review them? I’m a petrolhead and love my 911, but I also have an i3s that I’m looking to upgrade to an SUV electric car. If you live in London and have dogs an electric SUV is a great choice. I have been looking at the EQC but was disappointed at the lack of really useful insight in your review. I guess you just are not who they are aimed at? Pity, as you could have brought far more detail to the review from two guys who really know and love cars.
Tom Smith but the i3 is completely different. It’s actually quite hard to fault that car and it has a place as a city car and also a car you can comfortably do long journeys in. These don’t quite know their place but we always try and see the best in every car we review though honestly didn’t have a conclusive opinion without perhaps coming across even more negative!!

E-Tron definitely has ventilated and Heated seats on front AND back seats. Additionally, it also has massaging seats on BOTH the driver and passenger side. You probably looked at the base level.
Cheers for the review and presentation of these two E-SUVs guys, good job as always, but no thanks. The most expensive part of owning one of these, is not just the money you'll pay to buy them, but that after a few years of owning and putting miles on them one would need to replace the storage cell/s which tend to loose efficiency over the years and usage, and these cells are pretty expensive. If I had the money and I had to choose between buying one of these and giving it to the poor, I would do the second. As I said no thanks, I will stick to my old school 2003 1000hp evo 8.

@@benjaminwalker3972 The only misinformed here is you. You are so gullible to believe whatever a manufacturer advertises, especially in regards to electric vehicles. Apart from that, you did not understand what I said. I said after a certain amount of miles,it could be at 40K it could be at 60K, the storage cells start to lose efficiency which it is exactly what happens, their efficiency drops below 80%, and by 100K miles it will be even less, factory spec my ass, if it makes it up to 100k without any other problem that is, which by today's technology it is very possible for a problem to exist you moron. There are reasons , apart from usage, that it could easily fail, like heat and contamination, wrong way of charging. If it is still under warranty and the company accepts your claim without throwing at you the usual bullshit, then good for you, what happens after the warranty ceases to be valid? And its 8 yrs or a 100K, which ever comes first, and it is not for the average EV, it is for any EV a certain manufacturer makes, depending on the manufacturer that might extent to 10 yrs, or 150K, but that's just marketing, reality begs to differ. Personally I do not trust today's electric vehicles, nor any of the statements any manufacturer makes on their electric cars. Now call me a liar one more time bitch and see what happens.
The future going to be less noise pollution and air pollution. Now they better prepare think of how to recycle those batteries in the future (home energy storage)?
These cars no longer use lead acid batteries, they use lithium ion which are used in phones and laptops so these can be recycled by the companies which recycle cellphone batteries

Lovecars That’s fair but I guess as “real” journalists vice the usual RUclipsrs I just expected more? Maybe a bit harsh, but you didn’t help me to workout what to replace my i3 with... Maybe that’s a RUclips show in the making? All that said, I do enjoy your channel!
numbers, numbers and more numbers, like a spreadsheet with pretty pics to sweeten the boredom.
Not sure what you were expecting before you clicked on it!
Mercedes Benz EQC AMG edition
Good choice 👍🏻
EQC amg !! Bether interior too. Go too EQC!👍
Etron doesn't have ventilated seats. Merc does. For those of us in warmer weather, makes a big difference!
Very good point! Thank you
E-Tron definitely has ventilated and Heated seats on front AND back seats. Additionally, it also has massaging seats on BOTH the driver and passenger side. You probably looked at the base level.
yes the e tron come with ventilation seats
Merc looks more classy
Merc for sure
Cheers for the review and presentation of these two E-SUVs guys, good job as always, but no thanks. The most expensive part of owning one of these, is not just the money you'll pay to buy them, but that after a few years of owning and putting miles on them one would need to replace the storage cell/s which tend to loose efficiency over the years and usage, and these cells are pretty expensive. If I had the money and I had to choose between buying one of these and giving it to the poor, I would do the second. As I said no thanks, I will stick to my old school 2003 1000hp evo 8.
1000hp evo?! Tell us more, we should get you down to one of our drag races!!
@@lovecarsTV Well I'd love to do that, but I would have to put it in a couple of ships first and take it for a little spin to get to you. I live in Cyprus guys. Keep the content of the channel up, it is quality material, on point, well presented and has a certain touch of class in it. It is one of favourite car channels, and deserves a lot more subscriptions and views. The Evo is fully built in all aspects and she is awesome on the road!
Stop lying the average ev has an 8 year 100,000 miles battery warranty to a spec capacity. Some manufacturers such as kia&Hyundai are guaranteeing the battery itself for the life of the vehicle. Gd uninformed lying idiots on RUclips!
My thoughts exactly, these cars are not ready yet.
Cars are certainly getting better, but our experience of the infrastructure is still a challenge!
For the vast majority of personal transportation use cases they are good enough!
I liked comparing the two similar luxury electric cars. I would choose the EQC, but also agree the I-Pace handles better.
Thanks Steve - and good choice with I-Pace too
Please drive with this cars 120 km, with 4 persons and airco or heater. What is the range?. You drive with two persons.
This is the review and testing we carried out 🙂
The future going to be less noise pollution and air pollution. Now they better prepare think of how to recycle those batteries in the future (home energy storage)?
These cars no longer use lead acid batteries, they use lithium ion which are used in phones and laptops so these can be recycled by the companies which recycle cellphone batteries
The former cto of tesla has already founded a battery recycling company in Cali. It will scale up as the demand does.
Battery recycling is becoming a huge market, and there is so much money to be made I don't think we will ever have a problem with battery waste!
Tiff Needell should do a new and updated review of the legendary Aston Martin V8 Vantage V600 LeMans .... !
Maybe 🙂
No I-Pace review?
yup i'm going with the Merc
The running boards on the Merc win it.
👌👌
Love this guys
Tif,where you go.we ll follow you
Lots more with Tiff to come here 👍🏻
Get Tiff back on TV!
BH London soon! But for now there’s lots of him here! 😉
Why you did not mention that EQC is significantly more efficient then it's rival? And have better range accordingly???
Audi....because where I live requires a proper 4WD. Quattro is king!
Drag race?
😂
I'd go EQC, I think looks better and classier interior but more than likely would never drive neither as I love BMW 😂😂
Great review. But the Mercedes for me. Reviewers of cars never go into the fine detail, like the new MBUX multi media nav system on the Mercedes with its augmented navigation and lots more.
14:20 *Which is the best ? Just ask the Mercedes "Hi Mercedes which is the BEST" Will always reply Me of course ! and probably so in that the Voice Command is amazing, last week I just said call The Boathouse Nene Park, and next minute phone ringing.*
Haha nice!
Woah, you drive electric?
We drive and test everything 🙂
@@lovecarsTV Cmon, you didn't get that?! Missed opportunity. He was referring to this amazing piece of art Mercedes ad!---> EQC x The Weeknd Blinding Lights
We’ll have to check that out 🙂
@@lovecarsTV Such a good ad!!
@@lovecarsTV Definitely should, its amazing.
200mls range??!! Pointless is an understatement...
Depends on your use case.
finally Tiff addresses Paul's on-going midlife crisis...
Yes finally 👍
Obviously aesthetically both are better looking than the Tesla. But is the Tesla’s technology better?
They've done well with the styling of both vehicles!
I feel as if both manufacturers have missed the chance to make something a little different. Unfortunately they both look much like anything else on the road. Shame
Joe Joe hi Joe. Yes get where you’re coming from. We kind of elude to this in the summary 👍
Where is the engine sound? No fun when it's turn on the "silent mode". Price, range and sound is the main issues of EVs
Both difficult aspects for sure!
I-Pace for me!
Same as Tiff then!
i-pace???
Jaguar’s offering.
I'd go for etron. AND both me and audi starts with an 'A' 😂
I'll stick with my E39 and 944 :)
🙂
EQC any time
😁👌
