      Yeah that was touching, Pac was so ahead of his time, that we forget he was only in his early 20's.

    The interview he gave with Tupac was one of the most moving, in fact so moving, I wanted to know what is take was on him which is how I found this vid (I searched Ed Gordon on Tupac 2017) now that is work has been thoroughly analyzed after his death and all he can say is that he was special? He didn't ride the short bus, he was a revolutionary and our generations Mlk/Malcom/Kennedy, John F and Robert. I don't know too much of Ed Gordon, but I do know he doesn't get it even after the most enlightened interview of his life, smh.

      This is Sad he said this about Tupac.Thisis WRONG SMDH

      I agree he was unconvinced by PAC.

    • @Jojos25
      @Jojos25 3 года назад +1

      He actually knew tupac and had a relationship with him so I'm sorry, his opinion about pac is much more valuable than whatever obsessed teenage fan idea you have of him. He had a lot of compliments for tupac he just don't consider him a god or anything. tupac was a gifted but also troubled and contradicting young man who needed direction. had he had it, his life probably wouldn't have ended the way it did that night of 1996 in vegas.

      Ed Gordon's questions during that interview were pointed and Pac didn't seem to be fully prepared but there were some powerful nuggets in his responses. When Pac said boys with pink-colored skin (white?) were being used more than he by record companies, the interview was a wrap. Love Pac but that response was all over the place. Gordon felt he had Pac in a checkmate situation after that. Gordon (represented BET I believe at the time) is a skilled practitioner that wanted to give Pac a chance to directly address some legitimate questions.

    Tupac wanted to ask for guidance from people, because he wanted a father figure , and just wanted be great.
    So he just put his ego to the side.

    Gordon is a very intellectual man; i'm not sure he get's the full fight Pac faced if he thinks Iconic was not the right word for Pac; Pac was absolutely Iconic and we all may not know that until much later in life; that interview with Pac and Gordon was years full of a mouthful; but moving forward he needs to support pac fully and just because he missed out on a Father or a better upbringing; Most who have money or did not grow up in the ghetto can be told about it but they will never ever know it, they will never clearly understand how it affects you.

    I really can't imagine that many people in the world today asking an older person for their number and basically ask them to be their mentor. For guidance because they didn't have a father. Usually it happens organically when you become friends with an older person and that kind of relationship develops. 2pac just asked straight up upfront.
