Rest in peace Afeni. People often times say: "without her we wouldn't have had Tupac" I think that's wrong to say. Afeni did more in her lifetime than just birthing and raising Tupac. She was also an activist for the Black Panther Party and she fought for her rights even if it meant she had to spend time in jail with Tupac's embryo.

Afeni is a PHENOMINAL woman who I was honored to meet at a Ray of Hope Church function some years ago. Just a BEAUTIFUL, CARING spirit who radiates love. Tupac was truly a product of his mom and I believe we only experienced a small piece of his brilliance, which is so unfortunate for those of us who love him! @irgendwerirgendwo2720 4 года назад +6

@@am33x Man people need to stop comparing them because they style is as different as it gets. 2pac had also different goals. He wabted ti solve social issues and talk about problems , maybe go to politics. Biggie stated himself he just wanted to feed his family. Which is perfectly fine to me too.
So of course pac had the larger goals and was a bigger figure. Still, biggie is the superior MC to me. Biggie the better rapper, Pac the more infulential person overall

The mother is usually your first teacher. You can tell that his esteem of her was so high that even at times of drug abuse he never allowed himself to think less of her. Their connection was beyond words. She was a part of the struggle for change and he had the same mentality. He would have sacrificed himself for the advancement of mankind. His loyalty to ppl was his poison. If I learned anything from the legacy he left behind it would be to not allow that loyalty to supersede the struggle itself. To not get distracted by what is intended to divide us. To keep my face in a book. To stay on course. To believe in myself from a God-conscious frame of mind. And to live my dreams just like I can see them.
