If you see a Griffin in the sky, you can discard a gem (Onyx, Jasper, or Tigereye) on the ground to lure it down.
Here's a few things from me:
1. Medusa works in the same way as an enemy in Stealth games. If you fight in the cave with no lights on, she has to rely on her flashlight vision to find you.
2. The Phantasm doesn't "drain oil". It has to do with how Phantasms and Specters are elemental spirits. Phantasms are water element and thus extinguish the flame of your lantern. Specters are resistant to lightning and can be overcharged (if I recall correctly) because they are lightning element.
3. Silentium/Silence is literally silence. It works against anything monsters do that rely on sound.
4. Goblinkin use items that are originally in the first game. Stones, Oil Flasks, Water Flasks, Flamespit, Throwblasts.
5. Ogres get stomach upsets when attempting to eat Male characters/pawns. This is due to mythological lore.
6. Cyclops' skull are elephant skulls. This is due to mythological lore where people in the past mistook elephant skulls for cyclops' skulls.
7. Currently, there is a bug where if you push a Golem down and it falls apart, you can break one of its scattered cores on the ground. Normally this is just another opening. The bug happens when you break a core on the ground and it causes the 3D model to disappear from the game. This causes a chunk of health to be left on the Golem, but you can only see the glowing lights on where the core is physically supposed to be, but you are unable to physically hit it. Some players have reported it is only Maelstrom that's able to damage the missing model if this happens. ruclips.net/video/Vu4ziLt2OVg/видео.htmlsi=9pN_9GQ2QZDnhtQB&t=62
Cool ones! Although I’ll add, I’m fairly sure the phantasm does in fact drain your oil. Unless having your lantern extinguished 4 times makes it run out of it? But even then, it only finished draining it once it detached itself. Very easy to test, just fill your lantern up and let a phantasm fully hitch a ride 4 times! :)
My pawn doesn't have all Golem badges yet, and he just told and showed me how to push a golem down a cliff by pushing its legs while the golem had his "out of breath" moment. Like, he was telling me to help him push and describing what we need to do. It was pretty cool.
Wow I didn't know about pulling the Drake's leg, nice! Here's some i found out after 190 hours:
1. Archer's Blighting shot can make smaller mobs pass out for a second and will stagger bosses, it works incredibly well for Drakes because it stops them from doing all their big attacks, it can drop them from the sky just like Silence but faster and can even stop their fire breathing, which Silence can't do because its not a spell.
2. If you put the Medusa to sleep with the sleep arrow from magick archer or the unconscious effect from lightning attacks/spells you can cut her head off in one hit.
3. Having Rotten Fish in your inventory makes wolves avoid you and makes Garms/Wargs not do their grab attacks where they try to eat you.
4. Shooting the goat head of Chimeras/Gore Chimeras with basic shots makes them pass out and get the whole body knocked out everytime after a few shots, it makes fighting them a walk in the park because you don't even need any skills to do it. Although the normal Chimera's goat head will die at some point and you wont be able to do that anymore because the Lion is the main head, but the Gore Chimera version wont die because the Goat is the main head, which weirdly makes it easier for an Archer/Warfarer with a bow.
5. With most vocations you have to be very precise when attacking the Golem's medals to actually break it, and its easy to attack his stone body instead and not do any dmg, but with Archer if you use Spiral Arrow you don't have to be as precise ironically enough, just shoot it the general direction and the aoe effect will do dmg to it and break the medal, works well to break the medal below the foot quickly and the one that gets hidden on the shoulder sometimes.
6. Phantoms/Phantasms/Specters are the only enemy type in the game that are completely immune to petrification.
and slimes can refill your lantern oil 😇
wait, what???
How? That's amazing
I never would have known lol thanks. Slimes aren't so bad after all.
400+ hours and didn't find out myself yet lol
That’s why mine was always full I guess lmao
About the Gorechimera: If you're quick enough, you can cast silence before the Goat resurrects the other heads at the start of a fight, letting you get in a lot of easy damage while it flails about with just the one head.
I was fighting gore chimera at level 34. Even with formless faint. It was still super difficult my whole team consistently dies and I ended up having 15% of go left. I have to fight its empowered state most of the time because I couldn’t do enough damage and my pawn dies a lot. It was so fun. Fighting them again in unmoored world at level 65…it was like a cake walk. I wish they have a stronger version for end game :/
The wolf thing has been so helpful to my play through ❤. Like every time I hear the wolfs howl. I drop meat and then wait.
One thing I randomly discovered (and now love doing) is picking up my pawns and hurling them at the big monsters. I didn't know I could do it until I decided to stop using pawns with the skill that launches you because they kept doing it when I didn't want them to lol
In the gameplay demos i saw someone pulling a cyclops arm and then letting go that makes the cyclops to punches itself on the face.
Nice tips! I didn't know about pulling the drake's leg.
Something I think it's funny about the Gore Chimera reviving the heads, is that it makes it easier to fight it & knock it down. When is just the goat head it only takes damage there, but once the lion head is active throwing a rock, ice cube or thicc pawn will always make it stumble.
I kinda wish bosses would build resistance to knock downs and debilitations because once you know them you can trivialize the fights
The downside of enemies building resistances is that this can easily lead into a monster hunter situation where status effects and debilitations just become unviable eventually and raw damage output becomes too superior and thus removing a lot fun ways to play the game. If they do add it, I hope it is in a separate Hard mode that people can choose to play or not play.
I see where you’re coming from, but health pools, and consequentially, fights in this game as so much smaller/shorter than monster hunter, that I don’t think it would be a problem at all
The kitchen reviving a cyclops happened to me. They a golem joined in also. Rough night.
In my 80hrs and 2nd playthrough, still haven't encountered all these monsters lmao. Didn't know most of this stuff either, nice!
I didn't realize Ogres liked female characters. I thought I was safe from Ogres then since my Arisen was male...I didn't know the older ones had different "interests" 😅🤣
Oh, I think I also remember something about enraging an ogre by playing a male character, putting on female armor and letting the ogre pick you up and slobber you, only to find out your character is male. Back in the original DD, there were some clothing and armor items that were female only - including a disguise dress. Wonder if it still works...
you are right I didn't know half of those..... or any of those. Probably have to play it to know anything but good to have tips :) ty and welcome back!
I only knew about pushing a monster while it was stumbling-- didn't know you could push and pull with follow-ups to cause them to fully collapse
Great video man!
Learned a lot from this video. Very informative 👍
this is eye opener thanks for the info man
I just walked into that valut randomly and nobody stopped me :D
Man, my pawn finally earned the cyclops badge, but I don’t think she knows any of this stuff. I’m going to start teaching her. Great video!
Big Warning: EVERYTHING in your stash that can spoil will spoil when you get to the unmoored world, you better craft or sell whatever you had in there or you'll end up like me with 99 of dry flowers, meats, fish, and fruits....
Wow, awesome video for an awesome game !
What’s the background music? Is so nostalgic but I can’t figure where is from
Great video
I put in over a 100 hours so far on my playthrough and didn't know most of these. 😆 This is so neat. I need to try these.
So... you can feed to doggos rotten meat?
Yes! I thought they’d get poisoned, but they didn’t, they liked it all the same
No vabbè, che meccaniche profonde di gioco. Spaziali 🚀🚀🚀
The ogre thing should really be fixed an expanded on such a cool idea if they could consistentlyfuck you down with a projectile or imagine if you deck your dude pawn or arisen in something skimpy and it confuses them or they go even harder for a lady pawn/arisen in skimpy stuff?
All thing i know but i don't know i was not subscribe :)
thanks.
I call gore chimeras lich chimeras, since thats what they are.
You can get loots from petrified medusa, just leave it be and come back the other day.
I think ive got that weapon where it deals silence but when i use it i cant tell weather its applied to the enemy
Tried to burn big mobs and they turn to bones... burnt bones
I knew the one bout knocking off a golem's head
I FOUGHT my second drake in the vermund area and not 2 feet away from it a lich spawned trying to revive it after i killed it immediately i spammed frosthumter arrrows to stop him😅😅😅
All of em
Ma sei italiano?, top video comunque
Italianissimo! 🇮🇹
One thing I know for sure is that there are not enough enemies in the game... They had 12 years
DD 2 has one third staff (400 working on DD 2 while more than 1200 for Street fighter 6) to make the game, while being constantly on deadline to make it for the yearly shareholder meeting. And the game project start around 2019, so not 12 year. Feel like the game or the director being force to have minimum resource, such a waste for a could be GOTY.
There is still plenty of time for a Dark Arisen style expansion. We just need to be patient. The game already got way too much unwarranted hate already, thanks to a misunderstanding.
More than enough, but it is much harder to encounter big monsters since there is no Everfall or BBI.
Enemy variety is not lacking, but the scarcity of big monsters hurts subsequent playthrough a lot.
@@MenrvaS scarcity of big monsters? bro it has triple the amounts you would find in Gransys
no more for honor?
I would like to hire your pawn and you said to add you on steam but you didn’t give your steam friend code.
My Steam name is right there in the video, or you can search Kaede up with her pawn ID
Seriously?! 😱
This issue with this game is the story and world interaction. The fighting is good, but the open world interaction is very underwhelming
