Even in high end grocery stores "perfect produce" is hard to find. Basically, the shop took way longer than needed.

When there is only a single item of something someone wants more than one of, I tap on the can’t find button and see if there is a substitute. If there is, I get one of the original and one of the substitute. Otherwise I just get what is there. Keep up the good work! I love how you guys work together. 😁
I took a 1 item best buy order for a laptop the other day. You pick up at the service counter and they can tip. Mine tipped an extra $15 after I delivered. So yes they can add a tip to those.
A couple things cause you know I always come in with the comments and tips LOL -Usually with the online pay orders the tip doesn't fluctuate. I've never done BJs so I could be wrong but that's my experience with other stores. It's also still a good idea to message them about replacements, usually the messages will be sent as texts to their phone vs. to the app -alway always check batch details before you start shopping for their delivery instructions. It can tell you important things about bagging, it can tell you if maybe you should cancel the order (like if they tell you some crazy directions you have to take to get to their location) or even one time their instructions said to make absolutely no substitutions. -I highly suggest getting deli items fresh instead of in the coolers. The customers can tell; that's why the cheese didn't scan correctly. I also always get deli stuff before I even hit 'start shopping' it helps a lot with speed metrics -Also the muffin mix pancake mix debacle had me dying laughing and yelling at you through the screen lol
Did anyone else notice with the last batch that order increased their tip $6 more than order A with .56 cents. And order A was a shitshow order with the need to approve everything where B ordered their items and tossed their phone. A either needs to shit or get off the pot meaning trust the shopper or do it yourself. Because let’s be honest there’s like 50/50 chance the item in app was sold out but the system wasn’t updated.
The Aisle of shame is the aisle at Aldi that has all the really cool "non-food" items that everyone sees in the ad and wants. Their scented candles, cooking wear, blankets, PJ's, socks, shoes and items that you don't usually see in any other store in the Universe.
I dislike when customers add extra things to the order, when we drivers don’t mind to substitute once in awhile but to keep on adding things that’s annoying when we’re killing time being in the store to wanna move on to something else not waste the day and money with a order.
Yes that last instacart order took longer than you guys would've liked but when the customers add items, the payout goes higher if its a percentage tip. I always welcome when they add items. Also, it would be a good idea to get cold/frozen items last. Less running around and the items won't thaw out.
I live in San Diego, CA and I feel the same about the chargers like you and the jets just because I've been a charger fan my whole life so even after they moved to Los Angeles I've rooted for them. But I've also become a huge New Orleans saints fan since the Chargers have left especially when Drew Brees was QB

I was deactivated because I had Best Buy drop offs on one of the worst nights with traffic and shipt deactivated me, I was highly pissed because I was making great money, I built up my clientele (perfered shoppers) I was doing so well I was completely ignoring all the other apps because the money was too good, now all I have is UE and DD and go puff and I’ve been on the WL for instacart for about a year plus now🤦🏾♀️

Those customers that are picky asf really should go get their own groceries bcuz they have no clue how hard it is to stop and send a pic for every item. Especially when half their items replacement are the same item. I get this so much. Oh they don't have entamins chocolate chip cookies,. Look the customer added a sub for the same item .... entamins chocolate chips cookies plz. Lmfao!!
While I like to add IC into the mix when I'm dashing/ubering, I find double batches just friggin exhausting. Sure they pay out well but you really tire out sometimes. I do anyway.
Some advice, when dealing with customer that has a lot of replacements, notify the customer once. I also find suitable replacements close to what they want and scan that. The customer will ask for a refund or another item .Remember you are the ADULT, and the customer are the children. Take control of the order. For example, recently my customer wanted a 24 pk of Pepsi which the was out of stock, I replaced the items with 2 12pk. The customer said thank you.
Lou at the end you said go shop yourself. My wife does the ordering for grocieries. She would probably say the same as your customer A but have acceptable replacements on it aswell. but its because if you don't know what the shopper is going to do. I have had times were you get a product thst doesn't even come close to the original. For example you ask for a lb of mozz cheese and you get fete cheese instead. Not kidding either. i dont do insta or shipt deliveries and everytime I see one of these where it is so annoying. It makes me know I was correct for not doing them.
