for me the best networking type of shit (not only in music, even in life in general) - is the when we have similar hobbies (like martial arts for me), bec if u talk only about music - it is so boring, like u have your colleagues at job and its will be weird if u go to barbecue with them and only talk about your job
My approach is a little different. I talk technical like studio engineering and sound design which most rappers and producers can’t relate too. The behind the scenes people is who you get to know. Just my two cents…..
It's all about what you can connect with someone on. The topic doesn't matter as much as if you two can connect on it. If it happens to be technical stuff because you are nerdy about a particular thing, then that's what it is.
