I love getting people into building computers, I hope this can help some of you out :) Let me know if you guys like the outtakes at the end of the video! Also: I didn't go into detail about socket type and chipset type, I explained all of that in my compatibility guide video in case you guys were wondering. goo.gl/9TR0tX
For what it's worth...it's the camera trying to adjust the white balance in the color it sees. Since it saw a lot of blue (the shirt), it thought it needed to shift toward yellow to make the whites in camera more white. When you went to the gray shirt, it was more neutral, so the camera didn't feel like it needed to shift the colors as much. That was a really basic explanation...I could get really detailed (I deal with this in photography), but I'm pretty sure you'd rather stick to hardware talk. :-) If there is a way to set the camera to something other than Auto White Balance (AWB), you'll have more control over that shift. Also, I enjoyed your explanation of CPUs and how to understand the specs. Thanks so much!
Considering building my first PC, and I'm adding this to the list of videos i need to refer back to. Thanks for taking the time. Very clear, easy-to-understand explanation for a layman like me.
As always, very instructive and crystal clear. You're awesome man, keep it up ! PS : On a technical point of view, it worth mentioning too that overclocking will generally require a decent cooling system. And while Intel's solutions are basically crap or simply non existent for years now, AMD stands out with their quite interesting new Wraith coolers line up.
Mko Shuan thank you so much man!! Thanks for being here :) Yeah AMD is the only one that I consider having a stock cooler as something I actually don't have to buy an aftermarket part for. I got my 1700 up to 3.9 GHz on the stock fan. It reached 85 C when I was benchmarking which is toasty but still amazing for the fact that it's tiny and stock.
I am thinking of saving money to get a £300-500 pound pc, then after a year getting htc vive. But i dont know what pc’s are best, this video helped me, thank you.
Been looking for a video to explain this... haha. Also the camera is doing that because you have auto-white balance on. You can usually either set a custom WB in the menus, or if you have a higher end DSLR, there will be a dedicated button. Play around with the WB values to find one that isn't too warm or cold (orange or blue). Hope this helps!
JDTechGear Some CPUs are going without integrated graphics, this is pretty good, more performance and new things inside their CPUs. AMD FX CPUs drawing 95W vs Ryzen drawing 65W with better performance. This is ongoing growth that I am able to witness. I wonder what everything will be like when I'm 50. Will they be thinking SSDs are very slow. Our best CPUs today look like floppy disks and CPU cores look like a baby vs Steven Hawkins. I'm lookin forward to it man. Keep up these informing videos. Love these types of videos that go further into compatibility and hardware.
Another point that I'd like to bring out: A reduction of lithography can also just be for a reduction in power consumption, not necessarily just to increase performance (think sandy bridge to ivy bridge, or haswell to broadwell)
There was a 5Ghz out-of-the-box CPU back in 2013, it was an AMD chip named 9550 or something. It required watercooling to function under good temps because it was just an overclocked 8350.

-AMD is more budget friendly than Intel
-More cores more processing power
-Modern CPU’s have hyper threading
-Hyperthread ex: 4 cores = 8 threads/ virtual cores
-4 physical cores will display 8 virtual cores but that doesn’t mean it runs like an 8 core processor more like an enhanced 4 core CPU
-AMD have different socket type and cannot be interchanged with one another meaning AMD and Intel have there own distinctive motherboards
-The new AMD Ryzen CPU’s use a AM4 socket while the new Intel CPU’s use a LGA1151 socket
-Be sure to match the correct CPU and socket or else it won’t work or even fit to the motherboard
-The frequency of CPU’s are measured in GHz
-More GHz the faster the CPU operates
-CPU’s with more cores run at a lower frequency than CPU’s with less cores that also overclock easier
-Base Clock: a CPU’s normal frequency rate
-Boost Clock: a CPU’s frequency rate when it’s under load
-Overclock: a CPU’s frequency rate when it’s past it’s boost clock frequency
-Make sure you motherboard can overclock as well
-Intel CPU’s that end with “K” are overclock able
-Most AMD Ryzen CPU’s are overclock able and Ryzen XFR CPU’s are able to push further with overclocking
-Cache is First type of memory CPU uses To have less latency while processing information
-Cache is generalized three different levels L1, L2, and L3 with L1 being the fastest while L3 is able to store more cache than L1
-Generally speaking more cache the better
-The more cores a CPU has the more power it draws
-Manufacturing tech is Measured in NM(nanometers) and measures the gap between transistors in the CPU
- The smaller the gap between transistors the more transistors can fit inside the CPU making the CPU more powerful
-Modern CPUs use 14 nm gap between transistors

JDTechGear When the Camera decides what you wear and what you don't haha
It was getting mad that I was wearing blue, I'll have to get to the bottom of this...XD
