Mike never used to say or do crazy scary shit until he was wrongfully convicted and treated like a criminal. Before, he was a talented humble young man with all the potential and enthusiasm in the world and was really happy to be doing what he loved! then after what was done to him, he became the scariest dude of all time who was anger prone, would say the most disturbing threats ever spoken, and became ultra violent in his fights to the point that he was ending guys careers and even literally eating them. Mike Tyson was the best in my generation..heres a guy who came from the streets and who literally fought his way to the top. He not only beat his opponents, he decapitated them yet still helped them up afterwards..he's definitely special and will always have my respect. Douglas is usually underrated massively too. Tyson lacked the heart not the chin to win. Tyson had a pretty good chin but he never had the heart to get up and win like Ali or Frazier did. Tyson wasn't the greatest even in his prime but it was clear he had the potential to with his genetics and a great man like Cus D'Amato by his side.

Liston was an old man who was far from the terrifying puncher who stopped Cleveland 'Big Cat' Williams twice but because he had previously destroyed a decent heavyweight champion (Floyd Patterson) twice in just one round he had that same invincible aura. I could see him fighting for the title in the early 60s if he somehow hypothetically faced Patterson who was a faster but far lighter puncher and softer chinned version of Tyson. Tyson would've gotten the title until he met Liston in the ring and got stopped or if he somehow ducked Liston he would've faced Ali and lost. 70s he wouldn't have a shot sure since there were so many dangerous heavyweights. Frazier had enough heart to get up after taking Foreman's shots so Tyson no doubt. Tyson would likely get stopped late rounds (I'd say 10-11) purely because I don't believe he had the stamina to keep going that long. Ali would still outpoint him. Foreman would ruin him and Norton would beat him. Douglas had other factors which gave him the extra push to win that Tyson didn't have. Tyson's team expected Douglas to be a cakewalk and that played into the loss. Douglas mother had recently died which would give any man that motivation to win the fight. Douglas is usually underrated massively too. Tyson lacked the heart not the chin to win. Tyson had a pretty good chin but he never had the heart to get up and win like Ali or Frazier did. Tyson wasn't the greatest even in his prime but it was clear he had the potential to with his genetics and a great man like Cus D'Amato by his side.
