Thank you guys! This video is perfect! I followed it today when replacing my coil pack, spark plugs and valve cover tube's. Did this work after I developed a nasty misfire (P0302 & P0300) and found oil in my spark plug tubes.
Great video. However, my screw broken inside the tube when I was removing it. It took me 2 hours, still there. I decide to just live without removing that screw. Feels Chevy sonic is just cheap in every part they use. Lots of plastic part and get brittle after years. 😂Thank you for the video.
So I replaced mine around 60k miles with a blue felpro gasket and did everything correctly. It is now leaking again, even worse than the original 5k miles later. Is it because the pcv in the valve cover has gone bad allowing build-up gases to go past the valve cover gasket seal?
What is the purpose of sucking the oil out? Will the oil spill into places it's not supposed to be? Shouldn't most oil drain into the old pan if the car has been sitting a bit.
