Today we're painting a cactus or two :)
Thanks for joining me this year in this watercolor journaling journey. I hope to paint in my journal most days of the year and invite you to join me. We don't need big resolutions, just gentle intentions to tend to our creative soul, a little bit everyday. And learn a little something along the way.

For 30 plus years I’ve visited Arizona every April and truly love the Saguaros. I would not have thought to add the colour you’ve painted in. Love it! Can’t wait to paint these two. 🌵🏜️

Hi, Shana,
I lived in the Sonora Desert for 15 years. This is the only place in the world where Saguaro Cacti grow naturally, so I enjoyed this tutorial. Just a note for future reference. Saguaros have white blossoms with yellow centers. Barrel Cacti have blossoms in a variety of colors.
