On the subject of otks I just wanted to say that your "you still take damage" memes inspired me to play nothing but Deep-Eyes White Dragon Otk for over a year. It's fun because once you get 13+ dragons into the GY you can just wait on the field with a Blue-Eyes and when your opponent destroys it you get to say: "You may have destroyed my dragon, but you still take damage" and then you win the duel. Thank you Rata.
Review Dante's Inferno. Not the Burning Abyss archetype I mean the actual Divine Comedy of how some fiend-focused XYZ card dodged the TCG banlist for essentially forever.
Scott Fillinger You know it's the card. It's the anomaly of TCG's banlist. It had it's reign and even other pieces of Burning Abyss suffered bans and limits instead of him. Truly the timeline of Dante is a story all in of itself.

Maybe I'm just an agent of chaos, but I wish Lunalight was just called Moonlight. If you somehow figure out a way to make an old normal monster and Black Rose Moonlight Dragon work with the archetype, you deserve it. Same with Frog The Jam
- Opponent fills the front row - Cat Dancer w/ doubled attack and Room of Nightmare on your field - That's 800 burn damage, per monster, and doesn't even include the battle damage - Add on Ojama Trio to REALLY piss off your opponent
IMO a lot of people play the deck wrong. They play it as Leo turbo, but the deck is really frail if you do that. The card you want to go for most of the time is Panther, for several reasons: #1: Panther is a force multiplier, doing more damage with more monsters. Leo just does 7k - the attack of one opponent. #2: Panther can clear a field just as easily as Leo. Sometimes even better, since it can eat up every floating effect in a single turn. #3: Leo is a surprisingly large investment, even with all their recovery options. Panther is much cheaper. #4: Leo is surprisingly frail. That targeting + destruction protection doesn't mean much when every deck is running borreload and borrelsword. She's basically just a weaker Chaos Max. #5: If Leo fails, there's no backup play. If Panther fails, the backup play is Leo. #6: Panther isn't a nomi. You can continually bring it back with Rabbit, Perfume, and Tiger. In general, you'll only want to go for Leo in one of three situations: You're going to win right there with her, there's nothing else that will out that board, or as the recovery play after Panther.
You gotta otk with the deck... So it depends on the situation. The Leo turbo is the best build because if u can get Leo out consistently then you can get all the lunalights
by the time you got any fusion monster out, you probably already played around every interruption so going into Leo+Underclock is by far the most consistent and versitile otk.
Trying them out in early 2022 Master Duel, I agree with this so far! If you immediately bring out Leo using Kaleido Chick and she gets hit by non-targeting removal or a bigger beatstick or something, that’s basically all of your resources gone and two big cards you can’t special summon out of the graveyard (Panther and Leo). If you go with Panther instead, it costs less, you still have a great offensive card, and you can easily special summon both Panther and Cat out of the graveyard later (and you can still go get Leo).
lunalights are a bit boring, since most of the time, youre just trying to summon leo dancer, but i still love the archetype and their artworks, (and the fact that serena is my fav character from arc-v is only making me love em more)
IMO, Arc-V has the most interesting anime archetypes in the series. Sadly, as the anime progresses, most of them got treated badly and become less interesting (as well as the plot) Lunalight definitely needs more fusion monsters. The new Link rules make it less likely though.

I would love to see you tackle Koa'ki Meiru. The deck has some outstanding cards like Urknight, Crusader, and Guardian, but also is so unsure of what it wants that is has to have something worth talking about

Because Wyvern into Gear Fusion to casually fart out Chaos Giant every turn is truly the most inconsistent thing ever.... The only thing even remotely "inconsistent" with the rusty robot brigade was whether or not giant was coming out with 4500 atk from gear fusion or 9000 from power bond.
Mikey Hynes let the furry flow through you. Let it feed the darkness in your heart. And when it fully grows it joins on the darks side and final boss you where meant to be.
Balme Carly's seiyuu being part of a cult and Konami having to completely wipe clean any plans they had for Aki/Akiza and Carly (Crow's popularity was just a convinient way to fill the void. He was gonna be overexposed as fuck no matter the outcome. either as what happened, or as a "heroe seeking redemption" esque character). WELL at least Akiza had moments before becoming a living plot device like every single female in Arc-V
Lunalight is my favourite archetype of all time. It's so fun and so satisfying to play modern beatdown, especially Cat and Dancer and Panther Dancer's effects which look like they're performing a combo on the opponents. There's also so many possibilities for searching and recovery that if you use your brain, you can get out of almost any pinch.
I hate what this deck became. I was so excited to hear that danger! Lunalight was pulling results in competitive events, only to learn that it had just become another rank 4/link spam engine...heartbreaking.
I want to watch this so badly, but final tomorrow. I'm legit using this as my reward for focusing! The quality of this channel has surpassed that which makes sense
Lunalight's pendulum monsters are what I wish more decks got. Viable cards that are used for their pendulum effect and benefit the archtype. Unlike the Zefra-Shaddolls
While I'd say that Leo dancer is a good monster, it's a bit overkill to summon it turn 1 especially when it's massive Kaiju bait. 1 Leo dancer for late game is more effective and using panther dancer as a frequent otk material is a lot more effective
Especially since he’ll have to reference Guardian Niatos again. (Remember her sword is considered a noble arms.... oh gods what if Noble knights and guardians were to be combined?)

But now I wonder: would you consider the charmers an archetype? The only card implying such right now would be Unposessed, and the different Doriado flavors all support or benefit from them (though Grace Doriado is much more effective with Elementsabers, I suppose). Or rather: what would you think about a video on pseudo-archetypes? There aren't that many, and most of them have awful usability, but I'm fascinated by that kind of stuff.

Lunalight's pendulum monsters are what I wish more decks got. Viable cards that are used for their pendulum effect and benefit the archtype. Unlike the Zefra-Shaddolls

While I'd say that Leo dancer is a good monster, it's a bit overkill to summon it turn 1 especially when it's massive Kaiju bait. 1 Leo dancer for late game is more effective and using panther dancer as a frequent otk material is a lot more effective

It's great to see you enjoy an archetype! It gives your voice (and I suppose your mood, as well), a slight jump, and I like that! Keep being awesome, Rata!
But now I wonder: would you consider the charmers an archetype? The only card implying such right now would be Unposessed, and the different Doriado flavors all support or benefit from them (though Grace Doriado is much more effective with Elementsabers, I suppose). Or rather: what would you think about a video on pseudo-archetypes? There aren't that many, and most of them have awful usability, but I'm fascinated by that kind of stuff.
