Laura dear my name is Michael Ronie and I'm I'm from South Africa. I fell in love with just about most of your videos. The one video I shed my tears with you aswell, when u explained the farms expenses. Your videos are very educational and you are a great and hard working teacher. I love you so very much .
Thank you for sharing this experience! To be honest for me coffee beans were always, open the bag, fill it in the machine and enjoy. To see how much work goes into this i will never see them the same way. I will appreciate way more knowing the amount of work and effort it takes in order for me to have a good cup of coffee every morning.
You are such a great advocate for todays farming practices ! and explain everything so well !! What a beautiful place , I’m hoping to try some of that coffee !!
What a great educational video and experience. Thank you so much for taking us along. Those videos back home of the sun rise and sun set are pretty awesome. Thanks again. 🩷
I am so impressed. Just Wow, laura. You are such a natural. What a good job, you are so relaxed and your delivery is so smooth. To handhold your camera as you delivered your thoughts. I do not use the word "lines" because it is your thoughts not some script. I bitched a bit about your advertisement for the food box because it seemed like you were trying at something. Here you are laura, telling us what you think and feel. This is why you have almost half a mill subscribers at this point. Take us on your trips, take us on vacation, take us touring. We are here to see and hear YOU.
Sitting here in my chair in Berlin, Germany and watching you giving a "virtual" (some sort off) tour of the farm and the process i've learned such a lot about a product which i drank more than 50 Years now and really don't know (almost) nothing about it ! Thank you Laura, (again) a very good video and you are such a nice person ! Best regards
As an avid coffee drinker, this was absolutely fascinating! Learning about the roasting time difference between light, medium, and dark roast was very interesting. All around, a fantastic video!
We have that same lil Deere 670. Pulls our small disks without any problems that we normally use on our 1972 Deere 1020. We have a 1958 Deere 620 and a Zetor 6245 as well.
Love the video Laura. Grew up on a farm in Northern Pennsylvania. Thank you to you and Grant for all you do to keep Americans fed. I loved seeing this coffee farm. Kona coffee is awesome. Blessings😊
I enjoyed learning about the ‘start to finish’ coffee business. I enjoy coffee every day. Thanks for taking us along on this one. I hope you and your friend had some time to spend together.
I have been to Hawaii twice - but never saw or knew about the coffee farms. Pretty cool, and you do a wonderful job of educating us on how things work! Thank You!
I love the big island, went there 5 or 6 times a year in my 20's and 30's for scuba diving. I stayed at the King Kam Hotel right in Kona on the water. Beautiful island and fantastic diving and several locations you can shore enter head out 50 yards to a deep shelf drop off, great for deep dives did a few to 150' plus. Oh and the food was WOW, with great coffee. Thanks for the memories.
As I a die hard coffee loving trucker, I learned a lot from this video. Gonna try me some Gesha coffee, because, well I've had just about everything else. Love me some Kona coffee beans as well
Great JOB LAURA..........well done .......Lots a facts NEAT AND ACCURATELY!!!!!! I love learning about their Process.......it is something I would like to really learn about. I feel like a proud POPPA......and I am not a Poppa but GREAT JOB KID-O!!!!!!!!! I know...I know you are a solid woman.....just a meant in kindness.
G-day Laura thanks for the tour they grow coffee in Australia up in Cairns which seems too have pretty much the same Climate as where you just now and it can be wet during the monsoon season they call it the big wet and the coffee is grown along side Sugar Caine they also have a coffee Museum the Guy that owned the coffee shop traveled around the world and collected old and so old expresso/coffee machines it an unusual place to go and spend a bit time there. Enjoy the rest of your stay inn the warm weather we are just going into winter and gets cold we are only an hour or from the snow fields. Cheers have fun xx)❤✌👍
one of the very first things i noticed when arriving on the island of Bermuda was the wonderful smell as soon as we drove out of the airport never forgot that
Thanks for bringing us another wonderful, interesting adventure. Maui is beautiful. The Kona coffee is awesome but a bit expensive. Certainly worth splurging once in a while. Another idea for an adventure would be a coffee and pineapple planation in Costa Rica. I am sure Costa Rica would make both Grant and Laura smile.. Costa Rica is a beautiful country.
I'm a city boy. You always make the Country/ Farm life sound the greatest. Grant is a lucky man. I can tell you realy love him. Thanks for making me happy. God bless
I can’t believe Grant let you escape to the islands during growing season! There’s pivots to turn on/off and equipment to be readied for harvest. No slack time on the farm this time of year…that’s what December and January are for! Enjoy your time away!
Just an FYI , I know ya'll have planted some Becks seed on your farm this year and I didn't know if you knew that they have a research facility on the e Kauai, Hawaii , They are testing over there because they can grow 2 to 3 corn crops in a full year . If u ever get time while your over there Grant & you should go check it out !
You were so close to my ten acer farm where old coffee trees still grow wild for over 100 years. Wish I had known you were visiting. Let me know if and when you return😊😊
Laura, this is another example of an exceptional inspirational and educational video that you’ve created. I say inspirational because you have the natural passion for the information that you deliver. As adults, we hope and pray that kids get a chance to see some of your videos and “get the bug” to go on to grow the food and resources for our nation’s future. Yes, it is truly THAT important!!! P.S.- I hate coffee personally, but I just learned so much about it and was intrigued the entire time. That’s your gift!!!
We vacation in Kauai. The Kauai coffee plantation has 4 million trees and covers 3100 acres. You and Grant will have to start traveling to other interesting places and view the sugar cane, pineapple, bannana, and other industries of Hawaii. Pioneer even has a research plot on the west side of Kauai for testing corn.
Thank you Laura for this informative video. I spent two tours on Oahu and made it to the Big Island on a couple of occasions for Training purposes. The Best Kona Coffee I like is the Chocolate Macadamia Nut. If you haven’t tried it yet I suggest it.
Dang Girl, Did you make it over to "The Dark Side" over in Hilo? Hope you got to see the volcano erupting last week. You should check out the tropical gardens around the wet windward side (you would know "Your not in Nebraska anymore"!). Maybe next time (you can check out our bees).
Just went to Heavenly Coffee to pick some up on your recommendation. OMG! That place is awesome, the staff is great, and the coffee is good too. lol The drive up to it is a little scary for the unsure driver. My wife said that she would be too afraid to drive it. Thank you for the video & recommendation!!!!!
I can’t believe its been 2 years since your marriage and honeymoon. I love following you. You have such a great personality. (Cute too). I truly look forward to each one of your videos. Photography on this video with all the greenery is soooo beautiful.
I love the Big Island. While I haven't visited this coffee farm, I have toured several coffee farms in the Kona area. You are correct in that the sights and smells are unbelievable. I still think 100% Kona coffee is best. Even better is sipping it on a lanai and watching the ocean on island time!
Now you have the coffee bug, you should look into home roasting. It's easy (ish). Or at least get a Technivorm drip coffee maker, which is the only one that brews at the proper temp. Expensive, but I've had mine for 20 years so amortizes cheap. The mark of a good coffee roast is that it is not bitter or sour to drink when it's gotten cold.
Thanks for sharing Laura. Was a wonderful introduction to another completely different environment with similar processes. Wish you could have enjoyed the location with Grant. Would have been a great reminder of your Honeymoon not so long ago. Wow has time flown by. Great video, thanks for taking us along.
We visited Heavenly farms in March and met your friend from Nebraska. I mentioned your channel and she laughed and said she knew you. We took a picture and left with several bags of great Kona coffee. The Fire blend is excellent! Great episode btw.
Seed corn is one of Hawaii's significant agricultural industries. Hawaii's seed industry has grown since 1966 to involve most of the seed companies and many of the corn research institutions in the United States.
Interesting trip and small world too. My brother-in-law bought a Kona coffee farm three years ago, not far from Heavenly Hawaii Kona Coffee. Have not visited him yet. Your trip motivates us to make plans to visit him.
I spent three years on the Big Isle back in the mid-eighties. One of my jobs was hauling planting mix (a blend of the very thin and scarce topsoil there, mixed with volcanic cinders). My boss owned several acres of the mixture up around 4,000 feet. I hauled the planting mix down to all of the Macadamia, Coffee and Protea Flower growers all over the Kona Coast. As well as other landscape buyers. I loved it there, perfect weather most of the time and the locals are great people! ( I stayed away from the tourist areas. lol!)
I was stationed in Hawaii. When I first got there I loved Kona coffee. After a month I wanted Folgers or Tim Horton anything but Kona. The cost of living is so high. It even snows in Hawaii. To live there, NOWAY. You can get island fever. Landlocked on a island. Nothing is cheap in Hawaii. Try a pound of sugar. I love to travel.

Same here 🤗
Ha ha ha. Leave it to Laura

Excellent tour Laura ! Thank you

I'll attest that Kona coffee is incredibly good. Not "Kona blend", but the 100% Kona stuff. The only downside is it ain't cheap.
Cheap coffee is always bad coffee
@@wolfgangpreier9160Somehow cheap coffee are the most popular coffee. People buy them and think they are fashion
