cute outfit. EXCELLENT VIDEO. I was hired as a Marketing Associate this year 51,000 then Corona virus hit then they closed. It was major for me and a great stepping stone for growth. Now I am looking for another job. Now I am back as a Receptionist making 15,000 a year after taxes and no benefits. No complaints. I cant wait to finish school!! i have a long ways to go. Im a look for Remote jobs this time. Excellent Video Thank you.

I just got hired today as an entry level marketing associate! The job starts 2.5 weeks from now. This is my first full time corporate job after graduating. The duties consists of (but not limited to) Execute digital marketing plan
and Analyze, track and report performance of digital / traditional campaigns.
Not gonna lie, but I'm a bit scared haha. I just don't know what to expect!
Question: I know it's most definitely different from what you do, but what SPECIFIC jobs/tasks should I expect?

Thank you so much!! So I started off by getting an internship while finishing up my last semester as a Social Media Coordinator for a non profit company. Then when I started applying for jobs a recruiter actually reached out to me which is how I got the job that I am currently at :)

Hey! Do you find digital marketing quite stressful or do you find it manageable? I'm really keen to look into this field more but I've heard it extremely fast-paced. Tbh I've only ever heard that from online blogs but I wanted to get your opinions on it. (I have anxiety so I wanna see if I am the right fit).

I would say it is definitely faced paced, especially if you are working at an agency since there are a lot of tight deadlines and quick turn around. It can be very manageable however as long as you have great organization skills! Hope this helped ☺️ and thank you so much!!

Did they gave you any type of training ? If so how long was it ? After a while do the job repeat itself (probably yes) so it become quite easy after a while right ? Thanks
Yes! They trained me for a few weeks as I settled into my position. I would say just like any job, yes it can become repetitive but you just have to keep asking for more and looking for opportunities to maximize the position you are in

Do jobs look at where you go to college? I’m already in college and really don’t want to switch colleges if I switch my major to marketing !😅
Also how much time do you have off? Enough time for hobbies? Ik business as you get higher up can require lot of time
Hi! I would say for the most part jobs don't really look at where you went to school in the Marketing industry, or won't favor if you went to a large university vs a small one I should say. I wouldn't say to switch colleges, I did my first two years at a small state college then transferred to larger but still medium sized college for my bachelors, I've never had any negative responses from jobs when they see that. And yes I do get about 2 weeks off and I would say that there's plenty of time for hobbies if you know how to schedule your time appropriately ☺️ best of luck on your college career!

Hi Oriana! Thats awesome! Marketing is such a fun field to work in, and yes of course I am actually planning on making a video on that/ resume building tips. But for now some advice I can give is: always customize your resume to the job your applying for (make sure it all has to do with the position and job your are applying for), use ANY experience that you may have in the past to show previous experience (remember even class projects and school work counts) and lastly fake it till you make it, but make sure to not take too overwhelming of a task! I graduated in 2018 with a comm degree concentrating in public relations. Still haven't found a job because I have no experience. I had to work during college which left no time for interning. what should I do? I wish I could intern now but money is tight.
I understand, working during college and trying to balance an internship can be very difficult, but I think you still have a great opportunity considering you still have a Comm degree. I would suggest to maybe branching out to areas that are related to PR/Comm like Marketing if you aren't having any luck in the PR/Comm field. Most companies now days group both departments together and I find that many marketing departments have a lot of room for growth in the PR field. Just keep applying and I'm sure you will find a job that interests you soon ☺️

It still sounds like you have some great experience, I came into my position from a retail experience, I feel if you have the drive to learn then that is very valuable and its something that employers definitely take into account! heya, how is your role as an associate different from a manager?
I feel that the difference is I get assigned tasks for campaigns while the manager oversees all the departments with in the marketing department (copy, analytics, ooe, and ux)

It really depends what the specific role in that company is asking for. I would say that no matter what marketing requires you to have excellent communications skills whether it be with your coworkers, boss, or clients so I would definitely keep that in mind ☺️

No. I had a degree in Journalism and Sociology. My first job was not marketing and I turned it into a marketing job. There’s so many pathways you can take to get into marketing.
