Yes you are a gem. All seems so easy for you, and it is when you know how. That blue blouse is absolutely your colour. Hope you will have a nice weekend. ❤
Helen..Looking good!😊 I am learning so much today about different foods you are presenting. I will watch the whole broadcast again with paper and pen. It all looks really organized for the weekend and you are going to have a great time. Football anyone? We love Euro 2024 over here and have the game on right now..Spain is giving their all. Great to see you as always. I get stressed cooking or baking that i bought a dining table for 4 so that I had an excuse to not have any dinner parties 😂😂❤
Hi Helen, a lady in our village seems to have a her family every other weekend and just pulls food together in a chilled out type of way, reminding me of you!! Haha My husband has had a heart op (different to Rob’s) and I cook everything from scratch, so no nasties in there!!! It has certainly taught me about spices, flavours etc which has really opened my eyes. Have a fabulous time with family and thank you sharing xx

Hi Helen. I really admire how you manage to cater for friends and family visitors. I always think half the battle is deciding what to make! I’m not a happy cook and although I’m able to make reasonable dishes, I’m no lover of the kitchen !! My hubbie is a great cook and makes most of our meals. We have many traditional meals in Greece and tend to buy fresh ingredients which are plentiful here and although they take a bit more preparation, they are well worth the effort. Every week we have huge open street markets with seasonal fruit ,veg ,fresh fish and cheeses and naturally, our delicious olive oil! The Mediterranean diet is renowned for its healthy properties and we are lucky to have such a wide variety of produce. You are obviously a great hostess and cook and I hope you have an enjoyable weekend with your family -I’m sure they’ll appreciate all your efforts.💖🌸
Helen your as cool as a cucumber I don’t know how you do it .Love the blouse and I’m going to make that cake .Great vlog ,have a lovely weekend with the family take care Cxx

Can’t believe you cooked the meal without getting a mark on your gorgeous silk blouse..I would have been covered. 🤣 Would be good if we could see what you are doing. Enjoyed as usual, thanks Helen. Have a lovely weekend❤️
I was holding my breath watching you slap the chicken pan down in that beautiful blouse! Ha, ha! I love aprons & have quite a collection of them! My mom always wore one & I think that’s why I do. Funny, I just finished making chicken thighs before watching this. I did lemon juice, butter, olive oil, garlic & fresh thyme. Yours look yummy! You are looking very lovely these days. Your hair really suits you that length & falls nicely in place. I do love an ‘at home with Helen’!
Hi Helen, really enjoyed the video,I have A fib too and the Guinness zero is a great substitute for the real thing,in fact I can hardly tell the difference.Have a great weekend ❤
Thanks for all the videos again lately Helen, I was thinking of doing an apple cake so I’m trying your recipe today on my precious day off! I’m a hairdresser and carer so I don’t stop very often!!! Looking forward to next few videos, love the new caravan 😊 love sally-Ann x
Thoroughly enjoy when you do a cooking sequence. Agree with another comment, I'd like to see what you're doing when you're prepping too - although I know what you're doing! The rice dish sounds interesting, so will try. You work so hard - both on content and in general!
Thank you, Helen. The apple cake looks delicious. I’ve just received my perfume order from Dialect - so pleased, they are fabulous. Thanks for the recommendation x
Hi Helen, I enjoyed your apple cake recipe! We have an apple tree in our garden and make a lot of apple cakes in almost the same way as yours. I don’t use mixed spice though but i use a mixture of cinnamon and ginger! Yummy! It takes very little time and has much less sugar than shop bought cake!
❤great video! So helpful to see the process in action, thanks! So funny, you and I are almost EXACTLY the same age and I have also figured out that a few shortcuts and conveniences do not affect the quality of time spent with family (duh, why I EVER thought otherwise, I can’t fathom!)!❤
Helen you make everything look easy. Hope the chicken went down well. Sounded pretty good. Great way to use the apples. I usually make a crumble with left over apples. About the only desert that I make lol. Hope you had a great weekend. Thanks as always & take care
Will be trying the apple loaf cake, I still regularly make your lemonade/cream /flour scones, it’s definitely the best recipe so thank you for that 😊 xx

Just wanted to say, I made some of your No Knead Bread today, Oh my goodness, it is so so nice. My other half says it is the nicest bread I have made so far. Thanks for sharing the recipe
You are looking so well. The blouse looks really good on. I love a yellow sticker and like you l hate food waste. Wish l was coming to your house for dinner, chicken looked like it was going to be really tasty.
Good to hear that Rob's cardioversion has done the trick, I will be baking the apple cake, I know that will go down well , the fajitas sound so yummy x
Fab vlog Helen..you look great, your outfit is lovely..Blouse so classy . That’s a quick birthday cake for my hubby tomorrow..just arrived back from hols this evening. A bit of fancy icing on the top and way to go! Thanks ❤🏴❤
Always enjoy your at homes Helen. That apple loaf is worth a try. I think I could even do that if I bestirred myself as my Mother used to say! Much better than shop bought... Enjoy the family at the weekend. I'm sure you'll all have a great time together with plenty of craic! 😀 xx

I laughed when you said chickenless thighs , I thought “ oh that’ll be the vegetarian version then “ 😂 Thanks for the reminder, I’m going to do fajitas this week , my sons fiancée is half Mexican so she loves them ❤
Interesting enough my husband had an episode of atrial fibrillation 18 months ago followed by a cardio version which knocked the heart rhythm back into a regular beat. He had another AF episode earlier this year but a change of blood pressure meds has kept him well. In both instances he never felt any different only showed up on his Fitbit watch 😮. He decided to give up alcohol and has zero % all sorts, wine, cider the Guinness you showed. It’s all or nothing with him and has stuck with this new regime 🎉
Hi Helen, I did use Wild and still have it but am now using the natural deodorant brand, it’s in a glass jar and you do have to use your fingers to rub in but I find it excellent at keeping wetness and smell away 😊 also very planet friendly, cruelty free and vegan.
I found Wild works ok in the winter but it doesn't seem much good in the warmer months. Also I hate the way you can't really use the last bit as it's is stuck in the tube, unless you use your fingers to get it out. Overpriced for what it is IMO.
@@jmk1962 that’s one reason why I now use The natural deodorant company, there’s no waste as it’s in a glass jar. Also excellent for when I’m in the gym or doing RPM classes 😊
I really enjoy your videos Helen - thank you! Please can you let us know what nail polish colours you wear / when you change the colour (from a nail polish addict!) xx

Hi Helen. Another great video, thank you! I love how you make it all look so easy, and you really inspire me! Can I ask, did you cook the cake on air fry or bake in the air fryer and, did you cook the rice in the frying pan and how much liquid did you add please?
Hi Kathy, thank you. I cooked the cake on Air Fry, tbh, I never think about changing it... With the rice, I fry off the onion and then add the dry rice and fry that off too, then add double the water, so if it's one cup of rice, then two cups of water. I add checken stock and herbs, whatever I fancy really, then add the beans at the end to heat through xx
Can you tell us what the marinade was that you used please Helen; I don’t think you mentioned the name of it. The food looked great and the rice idea sounds good. Hope the weekend goes well in spite of the weather!
