Such a beautiful interpretation of this very complex, fascinating and fast paced masterpiece. Beautifully done! ❤ Lots of playfulness, interesting characters and colors here, basically exploring almost all aspects of cello playing and possibilities.

Very nice, but the Rostropovich with Shostakovitch on the piano is superb, with the whole Opus 40. Much better balance; the piano is too dominant some times.

For me 1st is more difficult, 2nd and 4th is about technique, 3rd is for show your intellect level.

I love classical music but this one doesn't sit right with me honestly, I don't know why but I feel like the piano and cello are not even connected, like they are both playing their own, different, songs. Sound dissonant. Not loving it

That’s Shostakovich , a lot of dissonances.
The cello and piano are playing with each other , it’s very subtle tho , you have to listen it alot to hear it
