I try out running once a year and always quit right after because I don’t know how to regulate myself and end up with a sore throat out of breath. This was so nice and calming, and allowed me to work my body with out over exerting thank you!
Thank you soooo much for this run along! I have been trying to jog with keys and phone. It keeps me from feeling free. I think its time to invest in pants with pockets! I'm learning. Please do more. 🙏🏾

How does Coach Morgan run along side you and keep the camera still? Awesome job ladies!! My biggest take away is the importance of warming up and cooling down. I don't do either. My warm up is to just start walking and my cool down is to stop. Interesting also is the importance of arm swing, which I have seen in other of your videos. This video will be very beneficial to me as I am just moving into running from walking.
My biggest issue is a side stitch (I don’t eat within 1hr of running, always warm up/stretch, go slow and control my breath, stay hydrated and it ALWAYS happens 😭
Love this! I'm about to start my end of hibernation back to running spell again. My motivation dies during our rough NH winters and I have to start over every spring. I'm defintely going to do this workout. Could you do a couple more for beginners for variety?
Perfect video, Real quick how can we help people who want to run better but have a hard time running because of lower back pain? I'm having a hard time understanding the level of the runners pain and can't tell whether they are allowing the other muscles to activate/disengage in order to help or not
Hi coach holly iam following your beginners guide to running .iam overweight and want to get healthy with running and a healthy eating plan. How fast should I run in the beginning. Any advice would be great thanks matt
This is for me . A beginner, older in life never ran before, Need to subscribe to the monthly plan. The only thing is , I have a tablet not a smart phone to use or to carry with me, I have what my wife call the old man phone. Yes the flip phone. ,lol
Will someone PLEASE help me with this problem? I'm doing good on my running. When I'm about ready to change into my running gear, my body starts telling me that I'm tired. I start yawning. My mind tells me I don't need to run. Forget about today. Relax. Go to bed. Sleep. Then when I give in, my body is all of the sudden wide awake. My body is like, "See you don't need to run. Let's go get some coffee. I'm happy for you." I'm not yawning anymore, I'm not tired anymore. I'm wide awake. Then I think, well I'm good. Let's go run. Then my body is like, "Remember, you're tired? We don't need to run." I start yawning again. Etc... See what's going on? Will someone PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help me resolve this problem? How I can reverse this? Get rid of the problem? PLEASE? Thank you.
I read about this a while ago somewhere on the internet ( some dutch site,can't remember what it was....) . I remember they said it is ok, but you have to make sure your posture is good during running and the weigths are not too heavy. I haven't done this myself before, so i can't tell you more about it...
Ed Collop Really good question. Two options: 1) Up the run times and keep the frequency and length of walk times. 2) Shorten walk times by 15 seconds each week.
