These are Amazon affiliate links so it doesn't cost you anything extra if you buy through them but it does kick a few pennies back to me to help keep my RUclips channels going.
Tensioner I used in this video- amzn.to/4baqxUa
    Idler pulley I used- amzn.to/3u8IUYO
The belt I used came from NAPA but it is this Gates belt- amzn.to/3HAmP8E it fits 2007 ford focus without California emissions systems and WITH AC.

If anything I done in this video offends you please remember the sun is still going to come up tomorrow and to try not to let some ol' hillbilly on the internet ruin your day. I say that because in some of my past videos I've gotten comments from people who had some hurt feelings because I didn't do things their way or use the "proper" tool or give the proper safety briefing beforehand. I'm just a guy trying to survive day to day and take care of as many things around my home as I possibly can. Today that was a vehicle issue. Tomorrow I might have to play plumber. Next week I might have to pretend to be a roofer. The bottom line is that I am none of these things but I do what I can to get by and not be out hundreds or thousands of dollars every time I turn around. Thanks to all you'ins who have subscribed and followed my channel. I appreciate ya.

I just finished replacing the belt, idler and tensioner on my 2006. I never could've gotten the belt on without the tip to walk it on the crank pulley. I also had to take off the tension to center the belt on the water pump pulley. Great advice, THANK YOU!

Hey Scott thanks. I don't know how many people will enjoy this type of video but it's stuff I gotta do anyway so I figured I'd go ahead and record it. I sure didn't plan on it being a 30 minute video though. Maybe some people enjoy that type of stuff though, different strokes for different folks as they say.

Thanks for the video! Everything I needed to know. I have an '08 with 181k miles on it. If I can get it to 280k like yours, I'll thank you again.

They are good little cars my son has a 2009 that's got high miles on it too, I'm not sure of the number off the top of my head. I appreciate the comment, thanks for watching!

I made it to the end. Good video. I'm dealing with similar issues, but specifically with the AC clutch and/or the pulley bearing. At least that's what I think it is. I didn't get much of a chance to evaluate the situation due to all the sparks and smoke that was happening. I'm hoping I can get away with just replacing the AC clutch, as I'm selling the car as soon as I get it back on the road. I had a time getting the belt loose, which I didn't even need to do to replace the clutch. Knowing how to loosen the tensioner is useful info, for sure. Thanks for that. Hopefully I won't need to replace anything else, but of course they are all due.

A/C clutch failure is usually due to catastrophic A/C compressor failure.

When you change out something like the tensioner do you look at it that’s a potential target or just throw it in the trash?

DO NOT REMOVE MOTOR MOUNT---There is a keyway in the shaft that the idler pulley bolt goes into. You completely unscrew the bolt from the idler pulley, then pull the assembly away from the engine and move it toward the rear of the car. The assembly will clear and can now be removed and replaced. At 14:34 you can see the bolt pivot as it clears the keyway.

Is there anything bad with removing the engine mount? Seems inconsequential.

A big boy just likes a lot of room and has to remove a co
couple more things than normal to get the job done. I have seen another mechanic use this same logic. Get'er done
