@@boomboxforever9567 The service manual shows the System Control Cable as Yamaha part number WQ579900. It also has a pin diagram and pinout descriptions. It appears to be a mini-DIN 8 connection. Only 5 of the pins are used for control signals between the R-840 and CD-640 microprocessors plus ground. You could try a standard mini-DIN 8 connector cable and see if that works.

very interest. If I do the math at 16bit dynamic so this are 65535 possible positions and so we say dynamic_dB = 20log(65535-1) = 20*4,816466677 = 96,329333536dB come from the CD down.
