  • On ANN In-Depth: Sam Neves discusses religious liberty with Ganoune Diop, who passionately serves as the director of Public Affairs and Religious Liberty for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
    In this episode:
-The rich historical tapestry of religious liberty within the Adventist Church
1888, when our church stood against Congress bills that sought to mandate Sunday worship
-The deep and intricate bond between religious freedom and human dignity.
-This episode is a heartfelt dialogue in which Diop emphasizes the inherent sacredness of every human being, viewed through the lens of being created in God's image.
-This episode promises to be more than an educational experience; it's a heartfelt invitation to see the world and each other through a lens of compassion and understanding.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church has been an established denomination since 1863. It is a global Christian family with over 21 million members who hold the Bible as the ultimate authority. We are believers who promise to help people understand the Bible to find freedom, healing, and hope in Jesus.

That's a lot of artful and devious words from Ganoune... ask him if he believes in the Divine inspiration of the Great Controversy chapters describing the our work as Adventists to expose the works of the Papacy.

Bro. Sam, If you can find Alonzo T. JONES' little book titled Individuality in Religion, or Religious Liberty Complete, you may find it very enlightening.

"With respect to his claim that the world would come to an end in 1844, this was a mistaken interpretation of the event, but the accurate and substantial verification of the date still stands. Later and clearer light upon Daniel 8:14 revealed that Christ was speaking to Gabriel of the cleansing of the sanctuary, an Old Testament expression applying to the Day of Atonement, which in reality is the type of the day of judgment.(See Leviticus 16.).
    THE WORLD’S UNPARALLELED PROGRESS AFTER:
1798 When the 1260-year period ended in 1798, when religious freedom had at last dawned upon the race, centuries of progress were crowded into a few short years. Up to 1798 there were no railroads, no steamboats, no telegraph, no electric lights, no reapers, automobiles, movies, airplanes, or radios. In fact, up until that time man still had about the same level of material progress as when Noah came out of the Ark." Truth Triumphant, B.G. Wilkenson

Where was the Religious Liberties Department during the time of the pandemic when the Church needed to hear about the importance of individuality in religion? Our churches were padlocked for up to two years although there were those who wanted to "follow their consciences to forsake NOT the assemblying of ourselves together". Also members who felt that they did not want to participate in the jab were abandoned, ostracized and penalized by job loss, etc without any support from the Department. WHAT you do speaks so LOUDLY, we can't hear what you say.
