- In 1988 he recorded his first album "See The Light" with the Jeff Healey band and they were featuring in the cultmovie "Road House". Both - the movie and the album - were very succesful and that was their big breakthrough.
In this clip we see Jeff playing in 1988, just before his breakthrough, and right after it in 1989 in the German TV progam "Ohne Filter".
In this compilation video Jeff Healey (discovered by another guitar hero Stevie Ray Vaughan) shows again that he is one of the greatest guitar players ever walked on this planet.
There needs to be a Netflix Movie about Jeff Healey! The world must know about his incredible courage, talent and strenght. He died of cancer. RIP Jeff Healey.
Roadhouse is the closest but they probably will. Being in the music business most of my life, you have a lot of people that will consent to a movie. I can’t imagine the actor portraying Jeff

I remember he and Stevie Ray Vaughn played hey little sister had to be best dual guitar performance of all time . He's gone but his legacy and music will never be forgotten . Jeff is a blues legend. Canadian icon. A humble talented guy. Commercially maybe overlooked but that doesnt matter. In the musicians circle he was a volcano erupting on the guitar and a freaking great singer as well!! will always be missed

What can I say? Musicians like B.B. King, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn gave a wow to him. Incredible. If people continue to forget about him, he'll remain way underrated for good.

Picking with his teeth, stomping on the whammy bar, and cranking out some of the best blues rock lead guitar I've heard in ages! What's not to like?
Jeff had the smoothest wide pitch bends and the silkiest high end vibrato of any guitar player…. Plus an endless bag of cool interesting licks and chord riffs that he would pull out at all times… he was a Master.
Well, I was feeling depressed & sorry for myself. (Again!) Then I see Jeff play, and I know what he went through & suffered, and I think to myself: dude - I am SO lucky to enjoy - every day above ground, the simple pleasures I take for granted(!) May God bless us all!

I 1st met Jeff when he booked me at his club a few times. Bizz wise he was a pleasure to work with. He told you what he could pay and what he expected from you. so cool and easy to work with. He dug what we were doing and jammed with us both times. it was a damm good time! so he got us to open for him in utica,ny. He wanted me to come back to be featured with his band on a thursday night but sadly he got too sick by then. Jeff inspired me and many others with his great guitar playing and musicianship. On top of that he was a wonderful person.
Songs like Confidence Man, As The Years Go Passing By, Blue Jean Blues, and Hoochie Coochie man, are just a glimpse of Jeff Healey's amazing work.

His guitar playing was wonderful, but he also had a great blues voice for singing. Amazing what he accomplished against the odds all his life.
This guy was top-notch it's a shame his only claim to fame is the movie Roadhouse. Killer guitarist and to be blind and do it is three times as hard.

Jeff healey is a badass I seen him a few times in Toronto back in the late 80's and then in the 90's a couple times the guy was talented as heck and so glad my Uncle turned me on to him as a kid
