It's a very modern apartment. I like it a lot. My only hesitation would be renting a ground floor apartment with no bars on the windows and patio areas for enhanced security.
I have a an apartment in Santo Domingo National District. 6th floor, 24/7 security, underground parking, 1BR, 2BA, Washer dryer, 2 AC units, Nice kitchen, Refrigerator, Nice wrap around balcony, Gym, rooftop pool, 2 year old building. $850 USD. It would easily be $2,500 - $3,000 in Northern VA, where I am from.
You can but they won’t look anywhere near as this nice. A place this pretty in Santo Domingo at minimum is starting out around $800-1k for 3 bed room. Santiago definitely has nicer apartments for cheaper value
Honestly speaking! I’m not Dominican but my wife is from Santiago and $550 even $570 might have been a lot maybe a few years ago but things went up over the years price wise for apartamentos y casas but for a 3bedroom in the Bahamas where I’m from we would end up paying anywhere from $1,500 to 3,000 or more so for me spending $570 a month is a great bargain for me! I’m here in Santiago now for the holidays and I want to upgrade from our 2bedroom apt too a 3 bedroom so that’s something I would consider
wow that’s very expensive! i don’t know about pricing in bahamas so that’s very interesting. it’s definitely way cheaper than in Phoenix too lol. $550-600 would be a steal for us.
It's certainly a nice apartment, a lot of great features. It may not be my first choice, but I see no reason not to live there. It's possible that perhaps for Dominicans standards the price is likely above average, but for those who come from the states with a high cost of living, $550 is definitely a steal. An apartment like that lets say in NYC or Miami, the comparative rental rates would range anywhere from a minimum of $2000 even as high as $3000 per month depending on the location.
i agree with you! i would say it can definitely be out of budget for many locals, but a deal for others. like chris family’s house that’s 650 is such a steal! miami id super expensive. we pay 2300 for a 3 bed here.
@@MillsRepDom -Wow $2,300 is really a good deal for a 3/2 in today's standards but still high for many. Nevertheless, this explains why so many expats are moving to places like the DR. They can work remotely, earn a decent income, and live in a place with a low cost of living. It can't get any better than that. In Miami a 3/2 in a decent working-class neighborhood starts around $3,000
that is an awesome price for a SPANKING BRAND NEW, NEVER-LIVED-IN apt. with 3 bdrs. 2.5 bth rms!!!! I am fron the east coast USA and THAT type of get up [even though the frdge and stove in there -- NOT microwave/dishwasher/washer-dryer] would cost $6,000 or more per month + plus pay the Internet/cable/phone/electric/cooking&heating gas/water bills. That's a whoping $8k a month just for the place here -- no security, this, that all what you're getting here [but the East coast is safe anyway]. However, my feeling for that 3 bdrs, 2 BTHS... id GO FOR IT! [i've never been to the DR though]
Nice video. I know that area very well, and it's a really good area in Santiago, and lhe price is reasonable for that type of apartment. Also, I noticed that you guy's where still wearing mask. I was just curious about that. I was in Santiago in July of 22, and most folks were not wearing any mask, but I do understand that wearing one is an individual choice. I was just curios.
love this area for sure. pretty quiet but lots of other buildings going up. this was a few months ago actually! but i do see random ppl still wearing masks, though not many
Hello how are you doing ? Hopping that all is well with. I wanted to know will I find a nice apartment when I come down there unfurnished I plan to come down there next month sometime I would love a very nice apartment I don’t know if you have some that’s available like a three bedroom apartment that big an nice a very big living room an a big master bedroom an a very nice kitchen so please let me know
How many square meters is the apartment? Or Square feet? Does it include 24 hour security? Does the apartment have an electric generator for the whole building or only common areas in the event the lights go out? How often do the lights go out in this area?
24/7 security and then the closed gate with fob access. good question about the generator, i would assume that there is no generator unless you add your own but would need to ask about that. honestly though the lights don’t go out too often in this area. when i was living there it was only maybe once a week for a couple of hours.
I simply love it and I am ready to pay it! I do not see the number listed and can’t find the number in google. Bags almost finished being packed but I only did to find apartment to rent and this one looks like it is it? I will be waiting. Thank you! I have been searching for about 3 hours now or are these apartments no longer available for rent? Everything in that area that I saw online is for sale.
Hi Mills, Could you please give me the number to Villa Maria. I thought you would have left it when you responded the first time. I am moving to the DR and need a place until I find a house that I want to purchase. I sent you an email but I have again received no response as of yet. I would also like to set up a consult with you. Thank you for your time.
Maybe it's just me... Seeing it from the point of view of a person whonis 6 feet tall: the toilet in the hall bath is entirely too close to the shower glass... Needs more leg room.
ooh tough to find a nice furnished apartment for that price now. my old one was furnished and $400 but depending on area prices have gone up significantly
Investing in property in Dr is a great investment, I own a few apartments and am planning on buying more this year, my plan is to be able to live off my investment
I like it. It’s cheaper than the Airbnb that I’m paying for now, which is $660. But, everything is included. All utilities, cable and internet. 2bd2bth.
What do you think? would you pay this rent?!
❣️
You sure have an very lucky Bf your gourgous!
This apartment is nice. I like that it has security!
I need to move to DR right now !!! ❤ considering the location , security, modern , well placed apartments the price is PERFECT !!
It's a very modern apartment. I like it a lot. My only hesitation would be renting a ground floor apartment with no bars on the windows and patio areas for enhanced security.
i agree, i’m not a huge fan of the ground floor without the bars, but aethetically it does look better without them lol
Ok. A 3 bedroom with security guard and open plan. Very nice price. Love it.
definitely a good place!
I love it that you're showing fair market prices for LOCALS, not gringo-prices.
yes!!! definitely a price for locals 😅

More than fair. I love it!
One thing I will say is that Santiago has some pretty nice apartments for the price you pay
hahaha you’ll give it that! ppl are saying you can find this apt for cheaper in SD though?!👀

@@MillsRepDom not in a good area. not as modern as this
I like the openness of the apartment.
It’s a fair price plenty of room peace and quite ! Thank you for the showing
thanks for watching!🥰
also, THIS APT HAS A COMMUNITY POOL🎉

Super cute apartment Mills! I’m currently looking. It’s above my personal budget but like…. do I reconsider? 🤔😭
im going to send you my realtors info! let’s see what we can find!
for the Dominican Republic and the size i find it expensive. but it is probably an area for high middle class or travelers.

Nice area. Parents own a home in villa maria. Very quiet and awesome. Everything is near by
definitely! i think it’s a great area
550 Sounds affordable but for you can find apartments in Santo Domingo Este for 350.
nice!! you can find cheaper ones here as well but it’ll depend on area and size.
Very nice apartment
Is it still available?
I would definitely live there
I would live here comfortably
This is really nice
i thinks so too! maybe a little tight for more than 4 people or so but great for the price in my opinion.

Hello, I came across your channel 🤗I’m wondering if they require two months of deposits, plus first month rent?
usually! i think i had to do just one month rent but then another for security deposit but i often hear it’s two months.
I love it. Enough room for our kids to visit!
absolutely!
Nice apartment.
Nice video. Can I get the realtors information?
Is it true we can do the residency process in Dr now ?
Real nice I would say the price of $572 is fair
Are you doing Real estate now I’m actually looking for two apartments in Santiago
Hey @millsRepDom How can I find list of places like this in DR?
And where is the AC unit?
Do you do real real estate there?
Hi! Do you have any realtor you could recommend me, am planning to go down there and i need to find a place to live on my budget.
I do! Jinnette instagram.com/claserealestate?igshid=YWJhMjlhZTc= you can say i gave you her info
Thank you very much
Thanks…The price is reasonable
i think so too! definitely a fair deal for the size and location.
can you buy it? do you know the price range on an apartment like that?
i would guess around like 180K maybe less!
Are those rental only or available for purchase
they might have some for sale too!
I did see anything AC unit?
What about air conditioning?
What’s the name of the area?
Where are there buildings with elevators and good infrastructure with furnished rental apartments in Santiago? Thanks
Zoe and Sofia and a lot more
@@bryang7823 Are these neighborhoods? Is living there in the summer like living in a sauna because of high humidity and heat?
I lived in San Isidro, DR for $215 doll. So to me it’s over priced. I lived in a residential apartment complex, 24 hr power and water.
Can you please share how you found your apartment? Is San Isidro a good neighborhood? TIA
It’s a bit pricey for not being a furnished apartment especially. It’s beautiful nonetheless. But about $100 pesos too much
