It was fun,at 1st(I like using RC vehicles in-game,usually). But,then it became so f-in' difficult,that I wanted to just quit the story mode & just go around "free-mode"-style & forget the story...

Think it took me about 12 or more tries,to beat all of it & I was so annoyed after about the 5th or 6th "fail",that I nearly quit. I kept saying to myself: "I'm only gonna try this 1 more time". Until,FINALLY it was over...
Still hate that part of the game. Bcuz,it starts-off not too-difficult. Then,it just becomes nearly-impossible,a short-while later!
Ever since then,I've been thinking they should put "skip" functions in the GTA games,for missions that seem unbeatable...

As difficult as "The Wrong Side of the Tracks," was in San Andreas, you could argue that some of the Zero missions were even more frustrating.
I hate Zero missions.
I completed the train mission in the second try. But never could pass Driving School with Gold.

Maybe so, but they weren't necessary to progress the main story. The Wrong Side of the Tracks was tied to the missions to open up the next city. Zero's missions are only necessary to make money from his store and to 100% the game. That being said, why do I have to fly the plane back to the roof of Zero's shop to blow up the little RC plane?
The Demolition Man (helicopter) mission in GTA Vice City was such a pain in the neck. Oh man, nearly threw out my keyboard back then..

I've finished a few GTA's a number of times but never GTA Vice City because of this level.
The damn RC plane mission in GTA: SA was the pain in my rectum but the train mission was a close second after you figured out where Big Stupid would shoot the most and the pattern of the trains coming towards you. After that, I seriously enjoyed blasting Big Stupid when that mission arrived.

The train was a pain in the ass, I had to watch a guid to know the exact position where smoke gun will actually hit. Cause sometimes I go in the front, in the middle of the track, and at the side but not far enough. But once you did it damn it felt good
Both of these missions were massively easier when I played them on PC a few years ago. Not sure if they nerfed it or if the PS2 version was just harder all along.

RC Plane. "Launch the Red Barron!" My god. I played that mission 100 times before I finally beat it. My friend and I still make jokes about that mission today.
wrong side of the tracks was incredibly frustrating when first played it but once you work out exactly where you/smoke need to be and where to avoid it's actually pretty easy but unfortunately took lot of attempts when first played as a teenager.
The original mafia 'race' mission was so hard and frustrating the steam version gave you the ability to skip it

Probably the most challenging level I've faced that I got through came in the 2010s, with Rayman Legends. Getting that final level at 100% where the screen is constantly changing and all you have to work on basically is the sound.
There's at least several levels on there,I can't get 100% on...
That game has some SERIOUSLY difficult areas,that require near-endless attempts,if U want that 100%...
It IS a great platformer,tho. We should've had another game in the series,by now... : /

I just completed it over a decade and a half later on Android version since the controls were better on it 😂. Hopefully, the Trilogy remaster has good controls so that I can do it again on the PC version aswell after all this time.

Back in the day you could cheese it cos you had the hoverboard by this point. Id you knew where to go you could skip it cos you moved faster than the guard spawned
The Smoke mission in SA was only annoying the first time I did it. Now, when I go back to it it is always a smooth run, just gotta know where to be.
Meanwhile, the most infuriating level in a game to this day is Meat Circus from Psychonauts. A vertical nightmare of a 3D platforming level.

I remember a driving mission you do right before you get the hoverboard. I didn't pick up a key card and ended up doing a way harder route that didn't really allow for any errors. The whole game was pretty tough but that mission sticks out.
I just used the hover board. The AI bot still shoots you if you go in the water but if you hop back onto the walkway fast enough the hover board is great for going around enemies.
Spam Square. If you keep kick punching the guards through the mission and never stop. The guns will not shoot you. How am I the only one that knows this?

Thing about WSOTT is, Smoke's actually pretty accurate. All you had to ACTUALLY do was drive a little far from the train, so when he aims at the vagos he doesnt shoot the train. I pretty much 2nd tried it after i saw the shots landing on the train.
Pretty infuriating seeing people not noticing the BULLET SPARKS coming from the TRAIN because they were driving TOO CLOSE to it.

I realised that almost as soon as I started the mission. But I suck at driving and wanted to do some stunts so it took some tries lol. But it was kind of easy
Another way which works every time is to get ahead of the train. Way up ahead you get off the road into the hills and have to cross the bridge. Wait on the bridge. If you time it correctly, you can jump off the bridge with the bike and land on the top of the train. Be careful there because you can fall of the train as it moves. Then shoot them aiming from the bike.
Yup, one of the easiest missions actually.

The GTA:SA mission that made me rage the most was the driving school final test where you have to drive to the other end of San Fierro and back without stopping or damaging the vehicle. There were times where traffic seemed to purposely block my path or bump into me. Honorable mention for the RC that handled like crap and would run out of fuel if you didnt hold down the throttle the whole time (very counter intuitive)

That Jak entry got me right in the nostalgia. The amount of times I got threatened to have my console taken away as a kid due to the unbridled rage brought from that one mission was nonsensical.
I was thinking Falcon was going to mention the underwater mission where you had to pilot that suit towards damn near the end of the game, but as soon as he showed this level, the nostalgia came flooding back. I absolutely HATE this level and other than knocking crimson guards off the walkways, there's no real way to just cheese through it, you just have to suffer.

This lvl was frustrating not cause of the blades but the platform you had to jump and glide.
The teddy warfare in Conkers bad fur day is one that deserves a mention especially since the controls at times are quite clunky when trying to weave through the laser grid.
Pretty sure it took me like triple digit attempts to get that stupid vip on the plane, playing on veteran.

Firstly your channel is cheap no effort trash, as for those total views? Most videos have a few hundred views max so I suggest investing in a calculator & count again.....

Medal of Honor Allied Assault’s Snipertown level. Even knowing where the snipers are going to be doesn’t help because they have 100% accuracy and will hit you if 1 pixel of you is visible to them.

There is only 1 pixel
The mission in Shenmue (on Dreamcast) where you had to fight and defeat 70 people attacking you, some at the same time. And, if you died at some point, the memory card on your controller would display the number of enemies you managed to defeat. Like rubbing salt in a wound.
NFSU the last race before the final Boss Eddie. The “Alpine RX7” (forgot the drivers name, forgive me this is from memory lol) rubber banding was ridiculous. Last lap he would slingshot by at last moment for what was like 50 try’s. I beat Eddie the first try, but Alpine RX7, you were the true boss.
Need For Speed 2015 "electronic components" race is terrible, like you said, the rubber banding is terrible
There is a mission in San Andreas where you need to learn to fly airplanes . it's very very hard . and then there is this one where you control a toy plane or something to destroy some vans in the city it's just ridiculous
Those darn long GTA 4 missions. When you fail a mission, you have to drive all the way back to the checkpoints and they were so far 😭

Mile High Club on Veteran was like playing FPS Super Meat Boy. I remember replaying it about 60 times, before nailing a perfect run. But it was a lot of fun the whole time.
The horse carriage level on one of the Prince of Persia games definitely made me ragequit, as I could never pass it, even with the sands.
What about the flight school mission from GTA: San Andreas? Specifically the one where you have to fly a circle through the rings? That one was such a pain in the ass for me. It took me almost a week to pass it. Then to top it off, the next mission, you have to do it AGAIN, but they added landing the plane successfully. I never understood that. Even if the mission was easy, why not just have us land the plane the first time around?
Always gave me difficulty. I had to have a friend complete it for me.

Usually they'll fix the difficulty after a new version, I remember the remote control plane mission in GTA SA is so hard to beat in PS2, but when the game is released on Android & iPhone, for some reason that mission is so easy to beat
they said the are making the controls play like gta 5, so flying the helicopter is going to be easier

The last level of Perfect Dark drove me insane, cus game guides really didn't exist back then, and they never told you what you had to do to even harm the final boss.
Years later, once sites like Cheat CC existed and guides were available, i went back and beat it no prob.
Metroid Prime has some areas that were infuriating too.

I think it was worse that you couldn't skip the cutscene before the fight on the original edition. I swear to god I still memorize the words to that cutscene.
I remember This fight making just numb with anger as a kid and then i brought in my older cousin who was really good at video games and even he was just like " wow this is hard"

That Follow the train mission isn’t even that hard lol. You literally just have to be a little further away from the train and not right next to so that big smoke can get an angle on the enemies!

The most painful mission I ever had in a game that took me 2 whole days, and then some of learning to speed run it to do it for my family when they'd get stuck... Ratchet And Clank , Dark water City's under water maze.

Water mazes in games in general are rage inducing. It's like they were sitting there designing the level and their thought process was "how can we absolutely piss off the people that are going to be playing this?"
@@darknesswave100 I agree; Black Water was its own special hell though, the grace you get in being allowed to mess up was negligible. If you're unfamiliar you only get so long to reach a certain point, racing against rising water until you reach a tunnel that you HAVE to swim through; get there too late and you won't make it to the end. The level gave such little in the way of mercy that getting caught up on an enemy at all would lead to drowning, same as if they knocked you into the rising water below the precariously narrow structures you had to navigate.
For some reason, I couldn't get past the final boss of Ratchet and Clank 1 as a kid.
I beat it later in life... So that just leaves the Xaldin fight from KH2 that I still need to overcome.
@@The_Horse-leafs_Cabbage the fight against chairman Drak (Jrak?) Was hell too, for sure. I struggled for days on that as well and eventually overcame it by abusing invincibility frames from the punching glove as well as TV-Rockets whenever I had a downtime to use them.
There's an obscure JRPG called Okage that I used to have on the PS2 (to this day, I still want to pronounce it "Awk-age", the way I did before learning the handful of Japanese I now know, lol).
The game has a plethora of random fight encounters that you literally have to buy items to prevent, like in Pokemon. It was another of those JRPG's that if your main character (Ari) died, the battle was over. Additionally, most big fights had a long dialogue section before it. Nothing is voiced in the game, it's just written text, but even a then-bookworm like me found it annoying that there wasn't just a skip feature. So, for a minute or two, I'd have to manually press to skip past all the talking before beginning the fight again.
Alas though, I made it to the end of the game. The final dungeon was in a massive library shrouded in mist...with random encounters every five steps. I finally broke and printed out a map and to get to the exit was a LONG way off. Even with the guide, the random encounters often either killed me or drained my resources before I even made it to the boss. I would never finish the game.
Edit: I see it's now able to be downloaded from the PlayStation store on PS4 and might get it again. If they don't have a skip feature for the talking, though, I might return it if they let me.
I always thought that the tracks mission in San Andreas was super easy, until I realized that's only because I played it on the Xbox 360 version. I went back to the PS2 & holy heck, no joke it's absurdly difficult.
Yeah same on PC. I raged hard at the driving school missions until I realized that they don't really work with 60 fps.

To be fair, the 2nd half of Jak 2 in general got pretty brutal for alot of missions. But yeah. Screw that slums escape mission.

Nobody mentioned that mission in cod2 atop an oil rig. The enemies randomly popping through the smoke, getting sniped and rpg'd was frustrating.

The one that stands out the most in my head is one of the final missions in dmc 3, even on a lower difficulty this mission was so hard, if I remember correctly it involved Dante in devil trigger mode, but the entire time you're dying. I remember rage quiting and not coming back to the game for months. Dmc3 is one of the hardest games of all time imo
There's actually a good tactic to the mission "The wrong side of the tracks" you have to get to the very edge of the second train track to the right. Big smoke then has a good range to shoot.
you can literally just get on top of the train, and shoot them yourself. its that easy.
When I was a kid, one of the games I played all the time was _Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings_ on Wii. There was one section towards the end where you have to use the Wiimote to guide a piano around a hangar to hit Nazi's before they shoot at you. It was incredibly difficult for me at least, and to this day, nearly a decade later, I've still never beaten _Staff of Kings._
I never had any issue with that train mission in San Andreas I had a harder time with the plane mission

Flying in GTA is always so difficult for me. If you’re talking about Flight School, I had difficulty with both that and the train mission.

The satisfaction of getting the "Mile High Club" achievement on xbox 360 live man, holy crap its a definite highlight of my gaming career. If I'm not mistaken, it was worth 10 "G" points and was titled "mile high club." Such a good memory, thanks for that!
Socom 2 Flatfoot mission... trying to go for Admiral rank for the online skin.

The Mafia "race level" nearly drove me to insanity, pun intended. A single bad level can ruin an otherwise good game.

Me hearing about having a hard time on Demons Souls 4-1 and remembering there actually is a level there beyond the skip I always used after finishing my first run.
Also if anyone is getting stomped by the skeletons, use the Blessed Mace from 5-1 (which can be a struggle in its own right), any other blessed weapon, or just punch them. Skeletons have very high blade resist.
Ritual path was a shit ton harder than islands edge. I'm level 50 and still haven't even gotten to the boss, which looks like the easiest part of the level.
You really gotta play that straight up, running from everything to get to the boss isint that viable even with soul distractions. I'm not giving up on the game, but very frustrated and haven't tried it again for about a month.
Max Payne the last mission where you have to shoot the tower's. One of the hardest and most frustrating levels I've ever played bruh. I literally can't pass it.

Do you mean the cables holding the radio mast in place? They seemed alright to me, but I did have a sniper rifle in my inventory. Maybe a blast of assault rifle fire or some other gun like dual ingrams, a shotgun or even handguns might work? Grenades or Molotov cocktails, IDK. I did play the game with keyboard and mouse on PC instead of with a controller on console.
You ain't lying there. Big Smoke cannot shoot worth a crap. And I do remember that mission. And how bad of a shot he was.

Bonus: The entirety of Far Cry 1. It's so worse with very high damage bullets with aimbot and weird save points, that I became frustrated enough to quit a game without finishing it for the first time in my life, declaring it THE worst game I've ever played....
I hated that game to be honest. No matter what I did, they could one or two shot you even in a vehicle. Stealth was darn near not a thing. Maybe I suck, but yeah the game just wasn't good to me.

What's even more frustrating is, you clear an entire stage... Suddenly a mf appears outta nowhere, you're low and he just runs and guns you without giving you the chance to even aim, let alone shoot.... And I could tolerate them still... But the most frustrating thing is... You somehow managed to complete a stage... You go to the next... And you clear that one too.... Then the same thing happens... You'd expect to start playing from this stage right?? No, because the game wasn't saved.... So you gotta begin with the first stage again, then come back to the second stage... That's what made me quit....
I played it through and have no clear memories of it, there are plenty of rage things I do remember.

Jak 2's hardest mission could've been a competition between escaping the slums & the turret section(s) at the drill platform... . Both misions almost made me snap my controller in two pieces.
Was the Sewer mission 2 or 3? Cause that was the absolute worse

I found a good way to skip the turret mission, you can actually glitch your way into mars tomb by jumping on a certain part of the wall which then skips you ahead to the fun test of man missions
Really feel like a Devil May Cry mission should be here, DMC 3 boss fights with Cerberus and Vergil (any of them) made me leave my PS2 for weeks at a time
The lillypad level in Super Mario Sunshine is one of the most rage inducing levels I've played! Not to mention it takes forever to even reach the level in the first place!

Honestly, ignoring the KG troops and zipping out of the slums on the hover board is the best option, short of wasting all your ammo and using Dark Jak. You still have to guide it along the walkways, since the bot will still vaporize you in the water.
If you turn into Dark Jak and do a Dark bomb into the water it will destroy the security turret and you can escape the KG troops on the water.
Also an effective way is just keep spamming the punch attack as you move along the boards this way you are too fast for the laser ships
I remember the first time I ever rage quit, I was a kid and came up against M Bison on Street Fighter II for SNES...think that would've been around 25 years ago. It's funny the stuff you remember
MGS2 European extreme difficulty. Take your pick between mashing for the torture scene, the swarm of arsenal tengus (without coolant glitch) or repetitively grinding through 20+ metal gears that could easily one shot you for losing focus.
MGS1 Snake's VR missions in substance are also not for the feint of heart.
Metal gear on extreme was insane completely ridiculous and annoying

Jak finally made a list! Such a masterpiece, all of them. Ashame naughty dog abandon it with so many unanswered questions.
No reason someone can't buy the rights to that game and either make it themselves or find the right studio to buy it who will properly revive the series because my God I would love to be dark jak with rtx on 🤤 ugh and just destroying enemies with the peacekeeper
@@jacktringoli3299 Personally I think without Naughty Dog doing it the game wouldn’t feel right. Look how TLF turned out because naughty dog let another studio make the game.. just my opinion. I do wish something would happen with it though instead of rotting away.
I remember getting so mad at that SA mission and remember playing it again a few months ago beat the mission in 30 seconds lmao
Here a guy that finished Resident Evil 4 more than 50 times at Hard mode, i would preffer that one you showed 100 times over the garden at the castle, causes me chills just thinking about it, you are alert everytime and when you finished, you can feel tired.
The really frustrating thing with wrong side of the tracks was the fact you had to go all the way back to groove street to restart it. it was a long way and a lot of things could happen during the drive.
Mile High Club is explicitly hard for me still to this day, I had tried playing it on veteran and it's like the enemies are using a Death Machine *Minigun in the Black Ops franchise* and I get melted. I had completed some of the missions on Veteran in the campaign but whoever hasn't played Mile High Club on Veteran, prepare to break all of your controllers you have.
That's the one achievement I had to make myself give up on because I'm pretty sure I'd have had an aneurysm if I didn't. You could play the entire level perfectly and still fail if the P90 guy didn't drop a gun with near full ammo.
You play on PC OR console, PC precise mouse controls + plus wallbang headshots made it quite easy

Whenever I think of an insurmountably frustrating video game level, I think back to that literal entire day I spent trying to blast, punch, and claw my way out of that god-forsaken dock level. So much rage!!

@@robertwarren110 I think the water drone shoots you even if you're on the water with the hoverboard. You can't bumrush the troops either because the dropships have turrets that shoot you if you get too close.
@@Doomblade3890 I meant on the boardwalks, you're right if you drop in the water it shoots you.
That RE4 part does have a checkpoint type system, you can leave and enter and it won't enemies won't respawn so you can exit and save or if you need a breather exit and re-enter and the enemies will go back to where they spawned. I don't know if it works on the newer version but I remember having to do this on the gamecube as a kid.
jak 2. one of my absolute favorite games form ps2. i didn't have much a problem with the water slums area. just spin to win, knocks the guards out of your way and if you time your roll dodges to the sound of the ship blaster fire they're also easy to dodge

Actually the first time I played the wrong side of the tracks when I was a teen I didn't even know it was considered a hard mission. I went up on top of the train and just shot them myself.
Only years later when youtube was a thing did I realize people had problems with this mission. Suffice to say when I tried to beat it the normal way I understood the memes 🤣🤣🤣
How did you get on the train to shoot them? I want to know for future reference.
@@bustergundo516 there a couple of "ramps" you can use to ride the bike on top of it, the easiest one is on the left, righ after the first turn. It's the little bridge one

That resident evil 4 level is my favorite! I used to replay it over and over. It was marathon to complete but you felt like such a badass after you completed it
Same, its one of the better parts of the game. Shotgun to blast shields, head shots and you're gucci 👌. Plus you the shutgun can stun some enemies so follow up with mele and bam. Ps you can always use her a bait to draw some enemies away 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

I never had an issue with the train mission in San Andreas. I remember going over too a couple friends houses too beat it for them lol. It was those RC plane missions that screwed me, although I’m currently replaying it in the Definitive addition, and I did them both first time no problem, so maybe just a case of being a kid and bad at games
I've accepted many years ago that I'll never beat GTA games up until GTA IV.
Same. Most games infuriate me if I cannot beat some part and I keep going until I win. 3/Vice City/San Andreas, however, can all go to hell, as I value my time too much to spend days trying to fly an RC helicopter/get Big Smoke to shoot the men/do whatever made me quit 3
I completed all the GTAs from 3 onwards.
Regret on Halo 2 on Legendary. Destroyed my relationship literally (I was 18, so it wasn’t that serious) - but still. That was the ‘Saw’ of video games
I've played MMX6, and Blaze Heatnix is the only level I have never completed, for the reasons you stated. The music is really good, but boy oh boy did they let a sadist develop these levels. It's like they did seven levels and had no idea what to do with Heatnix, so they just slapped together a bunch of miniboss fights and called it good.
Not to mention you can't even finish Gate's Lab 1 without finishing the hidden armor set (the one that lets you touch spikes) because it's freaking required to get through a section.
IIRC from my times playing Jak 2, my strategy for the water slums ambush was to wait for the soldier dropship ahead of you land and shoot the soldiers as they're coming out with your yellow blaster gun. This way you have enough time to pick them off before (most) of them have the chance to get a foothold and start shooting at you, then once that ship takes off you run over to where it was, rinse and repeat. The only problem is that eventually as you get about halfway through soldier dropships will start flanking you so you'll have to stop every so often to take out the wave coming behind you. DON'T rush the soldiers as they're coming out since the dropships have a turret that will shoot you if you get too close.
I’ve found one of the best techniques is just keep punching all the time as you move forward this way the ships with the lasers can’t keep up with you as you are moving too fast
The remastered Tomb Raider game, the water slide portion took me 5 days to get through.....then I got gunned down almost immediately after that and had to do it all over again for another 2 days.

The worse part is when your other half asks you why you’re a man in his forties crying at a computer game..
Seen this on another list just once, driver 2 Cain compound ,I remember just giving up on the game when I couldn't pass that mission

Driver 2 chase the gunman & Driv3r the chase. I never got past that driver 2 mission before I my PS1 broke. Tried again years later on my ps3 and still couldn't beat that mission. For Driv3r, I never even got past the first section of chasing Calita through the alleys of Istanbul. Those two alone probably resulted in at least 10 broken controllers over the course of my childhood.

For those who are afraid of getting a flashback on GTA hard levels in the upcoming trilogy remastered, don't worry, usually they'll fix the difficulties after a new version of their game released, I remember the remote control plane mission in GTA SA is so hard to beat in PS2, but when the game released it on Android, for some reason that mission is so easy to beat on mobile, hopefully there wont be any hard levels nightmare in the trilogy remastered edition 👍
I’ve never played San Andreas but come this November will be playing through the game for the first time. Considering how many times I’ve seen the Cj follow the damn train meme over the past 10+ years on the internet, I’m kinda nervous to finally see why the fuss is all about when I first experience it
It's easy as fuck. People saying it's hard have no understanding of shooting angles and how to drive in the game. Trust me, there are a lot more difficult missions in that game than "drive mid speed alongside a train and avoid crashing."

I think the supply lines mission with the RC plane in San Andreas was worse. That mission infuriated me as a kid.
We all know that Vice City mission with the little RC helicopter was a nightmare. My 9 year old brain just could not handle it
This was one of the first videos where I've actually experienced almost every single one of these first-hand. Resident evil I backseated so I didn't experience it firsthand, and never tried the god of war one. God bless.
