- @MerlinsOldSchoolGarage and his buddy Makay take his 1946 flat bed to pick up a 5.9 Cummins engine (and find out there was a bonus transmission too!!)...Then it's off to see Scott at @lowdownchopshop_kustom to trade a Model T Turtle bed for a pickup bed along with checking out the project Scott has brought back to life that his father started originally after the Vietnam War. Next, come along with Merlin and Makay to @travisjaracz2075 junk yard to pull a Chevy engine and transmission...and who knows what else they may find!

That copper colored pickup in the Shop for the Low Down customs Is pretty. It will look even better once it's fully put back together.

When I was building short track stock cars, I always loved finding change under the carpet when I was hulling them out. Some of the bodies paid for themselves in loose change and name brand pocket knives! :)

I was born in Puyallup and lived in Tacoma as a child the folks owned a resort on Hoods canal. So we spent the summers on the canal and the winters in Tacoma or Shelton. I live in Las Vegas now and I guess I will spend the rest of my life right here. It was good to hear a little of your history. Take Care

those two cars were awesome. he sold both in 2010 and bought a brand new Vette in 2010. and ended up dying few years ago, sadly.

I have worked on a Merlin marine diesel,lived in south Florida and was able to work on some cool conversions.
Always some cool thing that you get yourself involved in. I love the fact that you put everything on boards and pallet boards and fire stuff up. Also kind of funny to hear the birds in the background I think that’s cool but you know you gotta take this knowledge that you haven’t got a spread it around to somebody younger otherwise it will be lost forever. Love your love years your videos keep up the good work.

Maybe Merlin can set up a giveaway on his channel build a basic flatbed truck similar to his and you buy merch to enter to win! Structure it in a way that giveaway ends when a certain $ amount has been reached so that Merlin’s not giving away a masterpiece for free!

There was a RR MERLIN engine exposed when the lake was really low down there…it was used as a boat anchor or some such but being a pilot and warbird driver i almost mounted a recovery operation not unlike your yellow submarine recovery to get it because just like you, to us parts is parts!

I had a 92 w250 the truck had 459.000 when driving down the road one day the cam gear blew apart on the 12 valve.. it was like a death in the family so I updated to a 2005 24 valve it was nothing compared to the 92..
