So I have the 8088 one. Patent number 2625032. With 49 on the dial. Apparently 25-25-25-0 or 10-20-30-0 in any sequence doesn't work. Locksmith told me they have to be radiologically hacked, if they are newer. Best is to toss the newer ones because if one loses the reset code from the box or the papers. The unit is useless. Another thing is the reset access slide is stuck half open someone must have jammed the shackle shut.
Great info! This was the first lock I ever bought. I got it at a yardsale. Can't imagine I paid much more then a couple of bucks (I was only like 10 years old) I could have sworn it had a normal keyway on the back, but who knows? I never opened it....though I wrote a letter to Sn'G asking for the combo, but they never responded. I wonder why? I told them the truth. Thankfully this only reinforced my love of locks.
Yeah but the US sellers wont sell it to Germany. I tried like 4 times gettin one of those and I am not talking about the cheapy ones. I am talking about the ones in good condition with change key and the original box. I contacted he seller and all of them declined to ship to Germany. Well next time I'm gone get one for sure :D

ALWAYS wondered what that round slide on the back did! Rube Goldberg designed the operation of this padlock.

I have an identical lock, same model number, same US markings, but mine goes: Right - Left - Right - Left_to_zero

Guarantee you can't hack the dial 49 model. Defaults are on a card.
