My heart sank when Jenn-aay opened that door and when she started crying and let Rita hug her!! Then she smiled and kept breathily saying 'thanks, Reeta.'. Oh no!!! Don't trust her as far as I could throw her.
Cannot. Stand. Tina. She badly overacts and does nothing but wait for others to finish talking so she can spit out her own lines - always at top volume.
The McDonalds' house will never be the McDonalds' house. It may have a had a lick of paint, and some chic furniture added to brighten things up, but it will always be Elsie Tanner's house to me, with that red dial phone of hers, and her green kitchen cupboards. It was dark, a bit dingy, and absolutely fantastic. What a wonderful force of nature she was, in comparison to this wishy washy, vanilla family.
that like saying Kevin and sally house will always be Hilda and stan with the Muriel's and round table and Charles and di plate hung up on the wall. but the mc Donalds were able to act not like todays ones who occupy the house now. on the street whoever the are. since I haven't seeing it in years.
I think you will find that it is the McDonalds , I don't know why you are calling it chic furniture ? flat pack crap🤭, Yes when it was Elsie's house it was dark and dingy, nothing fantastic about it 🙄
Don really has an undying grudge against Mike for sure. He is not the nice person he used to be at all. Such a sad man and grudge holding ever since the last poker game.
I agree about Don, not a pleasant character. Although it did turn my stomach how hard and vicious Mike was over that poker debt. Not letting Don and Ivy pay it off bit by bit, knowing that Ivy worked for him and didn't earn a lot and that Don couldn't earn at all without the car. It seemed very cruel.
@@tazzie2shoos yes, but what people seem to forget is that even when Mike has done a favor or be lenient on his employees and friends they never have a good thing to say about him. Even with Hilda, when Mike hired her to clean his house when the factory girls kicked her out and the many times he lent her money. Hilda still had so many bad things to say behind Mike's back, another one is Vera slagging off Mike's wife even when Mike hired her back. No doubt if mike forgave the poker game loss, Don would be going around the Rover's telling everyone that Mike is nothing but a softie. All a bunch of hypocrites imho. I am glad Mike managed to steal Don's order.
February 1990 marks: the modern side of the Street being completed, with the ultra-modern bickering Barnes's taking up residence; the re-appearance of Victor Pendlebury which throws Mavis' marriage into turmoil; and Liz McDonald is in her phase of screeching "the Arrr-my, the Arr-my, the Arr-my" every few minutes.

'Of course he's laughing he's on his holidays in a pub.' 'God knows what language bobos is...could be Eskimo.' I just love the one liners from Alec and Bet. They're absolute gems.

Yep, you can’t miss that voice. He plays one of the MacGregor Brothers before he becomes Peter Ingram. Mike married his widow, Jackie to get control of the business. They weren’t able to get him and the half brother to star in The Brothers MacGregor.
I think Don, that flaming wally, would've been happier if Ivy earned her money, by playing poker with Baldwin. Of course, she would be starting out, a thousand quid, in the hole
I believe the supermarket scenes were filmed in a Morrisons. I noticed some own brand Morrisons washing detergent back in the early days of the Bettabuys storylines.
@@ibaisaic yep it was filmed in a Morrisons on a Sunday, in those days the shops stayed shut on the 'day of rest'! They must have needed a fair few extras to fill the supermarket with lol!
Wow, this might be the most boring month of episodes In a long time. Only storyline I’m honestly invested in right now is the end of Ken and Deirdre. I’m double speeding through every scene with Derek or Tina. Hell, Bet’s pretty annoying as well.
by this time the glory years were gone the awful McDonalds annoying non people : Tina Jenny Eddie et al Bet now in full panto dame mode silly storylines the Ingram bag yawnathon oh well I'm going back to the 70s once more and remember the golden times
Oh. As if Audrey would care about anything that adversely affects Alfaaaa..she thinks that he is a bottomless gold mine! A few episodes ago she stated that she was off " to spend some of Alfaaaay's money!" That statement alone should be grounds for divorce! Audrey is so horrible and irritating that she makes my whole body itch.
The make shift factory is laughable; when you take the cost for extra electricity the renting of the machines and the cost for the workers; what actual money do they make? I've worked in a lot of factories in my long long life and this one does not float.
28:23 Graffiti Club gone? Crafty, devious Pendlebury. Getting Derek out of the way while he spends more time with Mavis. Ceaseless wittering causes Mavis a love triangle. 😁 Bet, trying to look like the nicotine version of Annie Walker. Ends up looking like mutton dressed as lamb. Response to video only.
I could do without Stephanie & Des. They were idiotic. It's where the extremes started happening. The Battersby's too. If they just kept those 2 families more inline with the street it would have kept the tradition of what everyone loved about Corrie. Just my opinion.
At - 1.41.38 ..Mavis outside the long gone Kwik Save on Burton Road,West Didsbury. .. (And as if Victor could have seen her from all that distance away in the back of the car, which at that moment she would have been in the shop doorway set back and out of sight from the road on that side before there)
Thanks for uploading Corrie I really enjoy reliving the old characters bet and Alec my favourites ❤
