Nice work my friend, don't usually watch plane builds but hey.. really enjoyed watching you build this, something different 🙂 well done, especially considering the limited time frame you had 👍🏼👍🏼
Wonderful stuff! It's so nice to see older kits such as this being given 'air-time'. Yes, it's long been superceded by Hasegawa's gem but this model from Tamiya show's how far ahead it was in its time. It's well engineered, simple to build and has enough details straight from the box to satisfy a beginner or is a great base for those more experienced to enhance further. The Otaki/Arii Ki-84 is also another good, basic kit. You've done a lovely job. Very well done.👍
@@markfranks1329 thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it. The kit has held up well considering its age as you say, it was a fun build out of the box
@@ScalerDan thank you. Yeah the phone camera really seemed to struggle with the metallic paint, it seemed way worse this time than previous videos. Sorry about that.
@@ScalerDan yeah, given the choice of mediocre footage vs ruining the model to "get the shot" I'll always sacrifice the footage lol. After I hit record, the model is my focus, no pun intended.

Please ignore this PLONKER, as your one very talented modeller. You took a simple old kit and nailed it on this build! Even though it was a slam build this turned out amazing. Nice work
Thanks, I appreciate you checking it out. Amazing the quality the kit was at the time

@KarlScaleModeling thanks buddy I'm glad you liked it, appreciate you checking out something outside your usual modeling preferences
Nice Hinomaru.
Wow! Great job, Elliot! I'll have to work on a plane soon.
Thanks JD, appreciate it my friend!
You remembered the doped silver ailerons and stabilizers. They would often be painted IJAAF bamboo blue-grey as well.

Great Build.
Thank you
Absolutely no criticism from me- this was a thoroughly enjoyable build.

Looks great! Syncing to the music 🔥
Thanks dude, appreciate you checking it out even though it has wings ;)
Absolutely...mind blowing...
You're more an artist than a modeller...Waiting for more...!!!

Nice work on an antique.

Really nice work buddy
Thanks pal!
I've built this kit a few times over the decades. It's a good older TAMiya kit.
@@lancerevell5979 yeah I thought it was pretty decent for it's age, it has held up well
Great build and interesting aircraft! I turned off my autofocus when filming. The airbrush and other tools always magically attract the focus...

An old favorite. Surpassed by the Hasegawa Hayate but this one still has charm!
Yeah, it still seems like a decent kit for its age.
Good work! May I ask wat brand and size of the wire did you use for the aerial antenna? Thanks in advance.
@@lordtorquemada thanks for watching. It is a product called EZ Line. It's a thread material that is stretchy.
@@scaleffect Appreciate the reply. Thank you. :)
The Ki-84 was weird because the cockpit was actually an interior gray color, not khaki-brown, or Nakajima Interior Green.

Hasegawa put this kit in the dirt by the late 80s when they came out with their 1:48 Hayate kits.
The tanks could've been Bamboo Blue, Yellow-Green, Natural Metal, or ID Yellow.
