I used firestick before and now im switched to Chromecast, its so nice my tv can control my home light controls set alarm and tv can do everything assistant do, even says my phone battery level when my phone is not in reach.
It would be nice to also include some long term usage details or something like that.
For example my Google TV / Chromecast has either a Remote Control or Stick Issue where I make some remote inputs and then it does that one click input like a hundred times, also the rmeote often does not react or pair at all... It's a realy bad user experience in the long term for me and I have to reset Remote or Stick very often...
I don't know what the issue is at all as Google also does not offer "real support" but just pre made support pages to read through but that does not help with that issue...
Does someone has simular issues with FireTV Stick & Remote?

One thing I've spotted in the UK is that Chromecast Google TV doesn't have the All4 / Channel 4 app 😢
This is the thing that has killed the Chromecast for me. I have an old android TV that is now almost impossible to use it's so slow so I just wanted to get a Chromecast, plug it in and give the TV a new lease of life. The android TV supports channel 4 so I just don't know why it's not supported on Chromecast. Probably have to go fire stick instead.
@@ednewmy Yeah... I've switched back to Roku. Family know how to use it. Lacks some features, but at least there are plenty of apps that we can use in the UK.

Sir you can easily buy the hd model from online or offline where you get them cheaper .

What the reviewers don't mention is that fire stick is part of a ecosystem. He can tie into the Amazon recast which is a DVR so you can watch television shows later. It also has the ability with the DVR to look at your recorded or live videos on your cell phone via the internet. So if you're at a restaurant and you want to see a certain TV show that you recorded or a live program you can do it.
There are other devices that it will connect in also.
Ours stopped working after one full month of indoor and backyard use. Had dual home wifi capabilities. Could switch from our home wifi to the neighbors wifi who has a garage where we put the propane cookout grill near the doors on windy wind speed days. Best feature was the not having to sign in and out since the fire stick just went from our backyard to the same neighbors yard nextdoor. But nonetheless it's now a paper weight.
Hi mate, is the google stick a plug in and basically play with minimum set up and can I get all of my local free to air channels like 7 mate & 9 go ect with a plug in antenna cord? Love you videos👍

I found color banding while using the 4k Max firestick, that rainbow style of color grading. Do you notice the same? If so is it also present on the chrome tv?
I have bought the Chrome Google TV 4k since this comment and can confirm there is no color banding as far as I can notice. Picture quality is similar to the Nvidia shield TV, just without the ability of AI upscaling.
In other words buy the chrome for watching anything up to 4K. Fire stick 4K max is fine, decent picture, I just think the chrome encodes or looks that bit better. You won't probably notice much difference on a 1080p tv tho.
You have to change your display on fire stick it bands when your TV can't except the display type the fire stick is putting out
Neither of them can play UHD Blu-ray files without massive stutter. The Fire Cube and the Nvidia Shield can play them fine though.
Another feature of the Google TV: it can control his own volume, and be turned off by remote. This allows to turn a PC-Display with HDMI and speakers to a smart tv. The Firestick Remote cannot control the volume and power of the Firestick, so its useless with a non-infrared-remote display.
Which one is better for kodi in your opinion?

the biggest difference point is power ! fire stick needs to be plugged in to a power source, so annoying

what do you mean? the chromecast comes with a usb cable and power supply, same as the firestick does

That's completely two different gadgets, Chromecast u can cast through ur phone, fire Stick only the channel in etc

you don’t necessarily have to. On the firestick it wont let me cast my phone, only mirror and that sucks

firestick is just as laggy and filled with bloatware and ads.. they also block any launchers and boot programs which sucks. at least chromecast lets you use your own launcher, button mapper etc
Agreed. I've been using my 4K Chromecast foe 3 months and it was super fast in the beginning. Now it is so laggy, I have turned on the apps only mode. I have Uninstalled most of the preloaded apps and still it's laggy. It may the amount of ads they are pushing or the last software update.
