Leo Van Doeselaar, is always a pleasure...his organ playing, his knowledge, and his enthusiasm, equally. He has an obvious desire to bring verbal insights into Bach's writing, and to share his own personal performance decisions. Here, his humorous exchanges with the recording technicians are an extra treat. I can't wait to hear his take on these incredible Bachian variations..."Goldberg for organ", indeed. NBS, keep posting forever...please.
Leo never mentioned Variation 10, which in itself is a separate masterpiece of its own. Said to be inserted by Bach many years later to change it in it's final form. This suite is of a mind blowing beauty.
Wonderful playing! Thanks. Do you ever try and discover how Bach was trying to relate the music to the words of the chorale? I'm sure these compositions are more than just music; surely they are theology also.

What a wonderful piece!
Me gusta mucho la forma en cómo explícas la música de Bach; esa es una de mis piezas favoritas.
so interesting to hear how the organ sounds to the organist in the loft
So helpful, these interviews. They give just the right amount of information.
Muchas gracias!!
