    Thanks for this intro video. Helpful. My purpose of purchasing this was to listen to police. I didn't get any cops. I googled what cops use and they use frequencies in the 800s. This scanner stops at 500 but is sold as a police scanner. I don't understand that.

    Too much talking about not programming this thing, I kept screaming get on with it already. Had to stop watching and find a video where somebody just tells me how to program it without a life story or a speech about why you might have bought this. Sorry but get on with it already.

    Thanks for the video. GMRS can go up to 50 watts (depending on frequency) and use repeaters. I’m in Tucson and when using a repeater with a $30 handheld, can talk with people in California, northern Arizona and New Mexico.
