I started learning V-Step, T-Step and the Runing Man using your tutorial. V-Step and the T-Step were hard in the beginning, but i slowed down the song and made it faster until i was able to do them on the normal speed of the song. I can do the V-Step and the T-Step and i also was able to combine them. And all that just after about 20-30 Minutes. The Running Man however i dont get. Idk where the Problem is but everytime i try it i get something wrong. I tried it in different speeds but im not able to do it yet. But im in quarantine (my whole country is lol) so i will learn those 3 steps everyday until i can do them. If you read this (creator of the video), can you say me whats best to do next after those three? But however man, keep up the great vids they really helped me!
Hiya. Well done for persisting despite the difficulties. Where do you think you're struggling with the Running Man? Is it the smoothness that's missing? Or perhaps does the move itself feel like it's not coming together. With the Running Man, a key thing to realise is that when you're sliding the feet backwards, you're sort of taking them off the ground slightly rather than sliding with your weight on them. So, you're meant to be almost hopping in a sense. After you've got a hang of these, I'd say try the Spongebob and Reverse Spongebob (Mr X).
In the beginning (the first 2-3 months) I was doing about 1-2 hours of practice every day. After that it was a little less strict. I think if you manage to spare at least some time every day for several months, it will make a big difference.
Hi Mathew, May I ask what the title of the song is that you list as music in the video by Darren Curtis? I wouldn't mind listening to it in its entirety.
I actually can't last 12 seconds doing this move without getting tired and my feet starting to hurt. Is there a way to avoid this or is it just a matter of stamina?
What kind of surface are you doing this on? It might help to practice it on a smoother surface first. Also, are you trying to do it very fast? I'd recommend to go by a slower tempo first to get a hang of it, and only after that to speed up. Also with practice, your leg muscles will be improving too, so if it is physically-related, it should get better with practice.
@@MatthewAshworth I mostly do it on hard soil, sometimes on concrete. Starting slow definitely helped a lot. I was trying to do it like people do on dance vids, so I guess that was on me. Thanks for the tip! 👍

Why is that? What surface are you trying it on? I'd recommend a smoother surface. It's easier on that. But also remember to lift the foot slightly off the ground as it slides backwards. It's not sliding against the ground, rather slightly above it. Hope this helps!

Aaaaah yeeees
I play hockey this my balance is well above average but here i struggle with weight placement bruh this is hard
I think it might be because these movements are new to you. Have you managed to do any more practice on them over the past week?
Why do I look so ~bouncy~ when I try to do this 😩
I am trying to learn this since 2 weeks now but it just doesnt look good enough.
Why do you think that is? Are you finding it hard to keep balance? Or do you think the transition between the two positions is not smooth enough? Or maybe something else?
@@MatthewAshworth i Think because of the Transition like you said, the secound Position is my problem, my leg is not straight if you know what i mean. I Think i cant slide my food back wide enough to get the other one on the ground.
@@arcus2387 Ah I see. What I'd recommend when sliding that foot back is to not put weight on it. So during that transition, you're shifting your weight from that foot to the other one which is coming down. Hope this helps and sorry for a late reply. :)
@@MatthewAshworth ok thank you, im happy that i get tips from a expert.
@@arcus2387 Hehe, thanks. Not sure if I'm an expert yet, but thank you. I hope the dancing practice has been going well this week for you.
I try to do it without shoes and i kept messing up 😔✌
Why is that? What surface are you trying it on? I'd recommend a smoother surface. It's easier on that. But also remember to lift the foot slightly off the ground as it slides backwards. It's not sliding against the ground, rather slightly above it. Hope this helps!
I tried doing it on carpet with my socks it didn't end up well but thanks for the advice :)
@@MilkshakesNvodka Ah yes, best not to do it on the carpet. Better on a smoother floor, like tiles or smooth wood.
@@MatthewAshworth alright thanks :)
god
0:05 Do you live in Ukraine?
Hello. No, but I visited it. Back when I made the dance video where that clip is from, I was there at the time. :)
interesting
Yeah. :)
🤑
gotta have that bounce or it won’t work
Yes, exactly. :)
is it just me or do yall get really tired after doing those tutorials
Probably not so much after doing the tutorials, but definitely do get tired (or more like out of breath) when doing dance videos.
Nee, so tanzt man keinen Swing! Vor Allem die geballten Fäuste passen nicht! Tanzen soll doch kein KRAMPF sein!
What song is that?
Yeah it's cool...dont' answer.
@@anom8ly Sorry for a late reply. I sometimes fall behind on the comments here. The song was made by a musician friend of mine for these tutorials. Here's a link in case you've not seen it posted in my other comments: drive.google.com/file/d/1Lko19WJUy28FnTgivZ_dg5V3PIxSJx47/view?usp=sharing
@@MatthewAshworth Appreciate it. I apologize for my lack of patience. Good job on your lessons btw. Me and my family have watched them several times.
@@anom8ly No worries. I am glad you've found them helpful. :)
