It’s her stillness that’s impressive. Well, that, and of course, her movement. And the smile? Wow, that doesn’t hurt. Come to think of it, simplicity, authenticity and an apparent total lack of hubris, pedanticism and punctiliousness is pretty darn refreshing. But really? It’s her stillness that’s impressive . . .
Big words that most people seldomly use today. But I agree, these moves are very simple and straight-forward. And yet, she looks like she's having fun! I want to get up and dance with her. I do like JSM - Sven Otten and TSC - Forsythe, but Ms. Grace Thomas here dancing is wonderful. Those former two motivate me to dance, and Grace reminds me that the number one thing about dancing is, above all things, having fun.
I see comments like "so far the moves are pretty basic" and I think they don't get it. But I do, I used to dance like this.. a kind of energetic double beat while everyone else was doing the slow groovy-cool graceful hip-sway snake dance thing. And I used to think .. why do I love dancing like this? Like almost in the air! And so I felt self conscious and tried to join the groovy hip-swing. Now I'm older, I just keep coming back to these videos - as I totally get it - wishing electro swing was there in my day, because I loved that dance, that energetic double timing. And no one even had a name for it then. What the critics fail to see is she combines both the energy and the grace (wrote that before I noted her name). To perfection. The genius caricature artist makes simple lines come alive by seeing how your brain interprets shape. She does with with movement.
In the martial arts, there is an old expression - Even the most advanced black belt was once a beginner. Because most people watch so much television, I think they get used to expensive, highly polished performances. Most of the dancers you see on television dance as their full time jobs, and they have spent years practicing. It's not reasonable to expect a part time, amateur dancer to dance with the skill of a seasoned pro. But most people get disconnected from reality. Honestly, I think this is one reason there are so many car accidents. When you watch television, no matter how scary the bad guy is, or the monster, you know whatever is on that screen can't hurt you. A windshield is about the same shape as a television screen. So people with poor critical thinking skills let themselves drift into - I don't have to give driving 100 percent of my attention. I can check my phone, send a text note to a friend. But with driving, just 1, 2, 3 seconds of not paying attention can mean an accident, bam!
This young woman is awesome in so many ways---she seems to be genuinely happy as she dances (I've seen her on another video, and she's the same way there when dancing), and she dresses in a way that doesn't have half her body exposed. That's something I very much appreciate, preferring modesty to body parts flapping in the wind. And yes, her movements are very smooth and very fluid---and I wish dearly that I could dance like her!
Man, if this doesn't put a smile on your face........ A cute girl with serious moves, great rhythm and grace to go with, and a smile. How do you beat that? Thanks for sharing your talent Grace.

Love the movement she has here. She actually knows how to move her arms and not just her feet, unlike sooooo many of the shuffle dancers on youtube. Looks natural and fluid.

This is one of the most fluid, impressive movement things I have ever seen. I am in my late 60s and tried this during lockdown. The doctors say when the plaster casts come off I may be able to walk again.
I think that this is the first one of these I've ever seen that lasted more than 15 seconds without a cut scene. She actually danced the whole three minutes.
She did make another one where she's dancing outside. Same happy, cute style, and even though she makes a couple of mistakes, she just starts up again and keeps going.

I have seen this so many times...... Many times, it's just puts a smile on my face ...... Every time. This is one talented young lady. In everything she does. Thank you Grace . Very enjoyable and entertaining..... Endlessly
Oh you don't know how happy this makes me feel.
I watch this video in the morning and start my day with a light heart and a smile.
I love it when I see a dancer look like they are having a blast. It makes you feel really good inside!
I feel a disturbance in the force, ...someone is doing something.....something good and wholesome....Nice!!!😊👍👌
Delightful. It's not possible to watch this and not smile. Well done.
This is exactly what I did👏
I've literally watched this 10 times in the last 4 months. brightens me up when I'm not 100%
Thank you angel.
Beautiful! And she even dressed modestly to do it! Well done!
*Claps for 2 years straight
You inspire, never stop you angel.
This is one of the most fluid, impressive movement things I have ever seen. I am in my late 60s and tried this during lockdown. The doctors say when the plaster casts come off I may be able to walk again.
I can’t decide which is better: the song or the dancing, either way this is the best thing I’ve heard and seen
It's the music.
I know how to decide: It's the cute girl! =)
The song is incredibly boring, and the drumming is too loud, monotonous and annoying. Baby Boomers have the best pop music!
@@Alan_Clark wdym I could listen to this song all day
I think that this is the first one of these I've ever seen that lasted more than 15 seconds without a cut scene. She actually danced the whole three minutes.
Not really into dance, but this just makes me happy somehow 🤓
I know! Some people don't like to be called cute but this way of dancing just makes me smile.
Janez Kleč. Maybe you are into dance but don’t realise it.
I'm more into it! 🕺
I have never seen a dance I enjoy watching as much as this one. Now I want to dance like that too! Please make more videos like this.
She did make another one where she's dancing outside. Same happy, cute style, and even though she makes a couple of mistakes, she just starts up again and keeps going.
Oh this woman's personality just SHINES ...she's got an element of humour and moves like LIQUID ...stunning! Thanks for the upload❤
Man that is so awesome I am 59 and I tried to keep up with her not that I dance very well anyway but I was wore out thank you for the beautiful dancing and the great music
Who are the grinches that gave this a thumbs down? This young lady's dancing purely makes you happy to the point of laughing out loud.
No matter how my day goes I watch this video and it automatically putts me in a good mood😃❤😉
Me too 😅🎉
I started sharing your video with friends immediately! You are totally awesome! Thank you so much for posting this. You give joy!
Our 2023 started with us losing our Daughter Chellia to cancer. I came back to this because it was the only thing that helped when lost our son. We had two kids and have now lost both. Keep making your videos they help more people than you will ever know get thought terrible times. I enjoy your short videos. I am so glad that you are happily married, if it wasn't for my wife of 56 years I could never go on. Sending much love to you and your husband!
My heart aches for you with your loss. So sorry! 😢 Sending peace & love to you and your wife. I’m with you in finding joy watching her dance.
She would make a brilliant Northern Soul dancer!
Watching her dance really takes the bite off a lousy week and she is also a lovely young dancer and well worth staying for the entire 3:O7
She moves like liquid! Smooth.
Wish I could do this, but I have rheumatoid arthritis 😖😟 I sure enjoy watching it though!!
She is adorable and very good. I have fallen in love with swing!!
I tried dancing like that ......my doctor said I should be up and around in a couple weeks.
Wish I could dance like this woman
@@lindiascott3758 same
Who could resist just trying?!
Ha.
@@marywillis1630 My family would look at me like I've lost it
I was skeptical. I watched. I found myself amazed how excellent this performance was done. Great job young lady!
No doubt, this song was made for her. She's so beautiful, so smooth in her movements, can't get enough
I always come back to this video. I truly love how watching it makes me feel free and happy. Thank you Grace!
Just absolutely adorable! It's like magic the way I have to just smile
all the way through the performance. Thank you so much, Grace! Good to know there are still nice girls in this world. You are so gifted! And congrats on your engagement. Hope you are both as happy together as you have made so many others.
This video is a masterpiece. I wouldn't be surprised that in 3 years it's the most viewed and the most liked video in the category. Grace, I don't think I've seen it mentioned about what an excellent job you did choreographing to the song. I've watched this video many times. I just love it. This video is adorable and you are adorable. Great job. Congratulations.
Timeless. A classic demonstration of this style of dance. "I may not know much about dance but I know what I like " to paraphrase the late, great Orson Welles. 🙂
