      @Ocean Lives You're preaching to the choir. I'm actually someone that's been saying for decades that the _only_ cat that's got a legit claim to MJ's GOAT status is Cap, because from a statistical standpoint he IS the GOAT. But we all know he ain't the _real_ GOAT because stats don't tell the whole story. Keep lyin' to yourself though.
      " Mj started winning after 1990 and after 1990 it was an expansion team era were diluted the talent pool"
      And this myth began not long after Money and the Bulls punked Isiah and his Pusstons off the floor, 4 and out. Zeke is the one that started all of this crap about it being a "watered-down era". It was sour grapes over getting his a*s beat by Mike and crew. Those of us that were alive at the time remember it.

      This record will be so out of reach, a superhuman has to to average 30pg ( assuming they play 85 percent of their games each year and don't load manage), never get injured, for 20 straight years and they STILL will not break this record. That will be 42000 points. Lebron will get to 42-44K points at the end.

    • @martifrey3357
      @martifrey3357 11 месяцев назад

      Not really, nowadays it's easier to break records and it will be easier in the future since the rules are softer and the athletes get better, stronger and even play longer. It doesn't even take another baller with the talent of James to breah that record as long as that new guy keeps being healthy obviously. Lebron is 39 has been playing 21 seasons. MJ barely played 15 and the last two he played was when he came back at age of 38. He missed 2 crucial years 94-95 of his prime and another 3 years after 1998 as well and yet MJ is still a top 5 scorer of all times. When Lebron retires his record will be broken sooner than the time it took him to break Kareem's record for sure.

  • @monchiecosio
    @monchiecosio Год назад

    I've seen so many players who's great at scoring that for a moment I think they can beat the scoring record. But then there's this one player who's not even a score-first yet because he's so invested not just on his talent and skills but on his health as well that he played from year 1 to year 20 consistently on his prime. Yeah we can say there's a lot more players that can score better than him and I myself can attest to that but then again he's not even focused on pure scoring like those players we can mention yet he's the #1 player in scoring because he did it with longevity and he's still not stopping. This guy can still play for 5-7 more years at that level that no other player or great scorers can do because in just year 15 they will already fluctuate or gets injured etc. So at the end of the day I myself knows that this day when LeBron beat the scoring record of Kareem, that it will never be surpassed or beaten by any other players anymore. This will go for a lifetime, a pass-first player who made 45k points in 25years of prime basketball, hands down the best one there is.

    To beat or come close to lebron’s record when it is all said and done you would need to average at least 28 ppg for at least 20 seasons and and play at least 70 games a season.
    Impossible!!!

    • @saycheese6773
      @saycheese6773 Год назад

      @Ali G that’s the whole point dude, load management means less games, meaning less points. You need to average 28 for 20 seasons straight, and play 85% of each seasons games.
      Only 2 players averaged more than 28 ppg for a career (Michael and Wilt) and they both played 15 or less seasons.
      To beat the record it’s a question of longevity and health. Lebron has not missed any full seasons due to injury and he plays a ton of games and has been doing it for every year at a high level. Look at the superstars today, KD was out for a full year for example, curry gets banged up, super stars prime is at most 10-12 years and then their scoring declines. You need longevity and health for 18-20 years at your peak. Sure there will be players scoring a ton of points, but that’s not what it takes to beat the record.
