Thomas Tyner was a star at Oregon. I am happy to hear he found a different way, a way that makes his life fulfilling. Football is not everything. After his injuries, he just lost interest. The one thing I do wonder about, why he became a Beaver, of all things!

Here's a fun request on a similar note to Tyner: Anthony Morelli was once the top ranked high school prospect in Pennsylvania, which is unreal considering Revis Island and Chad Henne were in his graduating class. But to my knowledge he never played in an NFL game; he may even be the only Top ranked PA high school prospect this century not to. What happened to him? Keep up the great work!

I think the reasons he didn't excel at Oregon State was that it was being coached by Gary Anderson...(former Wisconsin head coach)... and they liked to run and hammer the other team. Didn't really work because he didn't stay long enough to build a huge dominant line like they had in Wisconsin. Also when Tyner transferred he had to compete with Ryan "the Wrecking" Nall...6'2" 230-240lbs. Andersons play calling favored a fresh durable (fullback acting like a) running back. Tyner had too many injuries to do this over and over with a less than mediocre line at that time. I remember watching a game...and thinking they should've made him into a receiver.. to at least utilize his speed. ..but OSU didn't pass much.. depressing season.

The only guy who was ranked higher than Tyner was Henry. He was recruited by chip kelly, at the same time as when the had deanthony thomas. Imagine both those guys in the backfield, and mariota as qb. I thought i was going to see.the most amazing show in college football at Oregon. His injuries really hampered him, then chip left. It appears He really is just a humble Man that didn’t want all the attention and notoriety.
He appears to be happier without all of that .
It’s all obviously very lucrative and enticing which will keep someone going for it even if it’s more so to be able to set the family up if that’s what matters most and will keep you pushing more than even for yourself
So if your family is already doing well then there’s not a lot of reasons to keep pushing for it
Especially if you do not want all those eyes on You and prying
I most definitely can appreciate that .
Those people that make it in that public fame lifestyle are more mentally strong than their physical abilities .
We’ve seen even some of those that are of the elite mentally as well as physically can still get overwhelmed with it all .
Haters are a MuFu and most people can not deal with them whatsoever
So to be out there with everyone’s eyes on you nonstop just waiting for your to slip up…. Most people could not and can not handle anything even close to that .
Saddest part is that some of them can be the biggest haters themselves.
    Empathy my peoples
    Look out for one another
    It’s all Love ✌️ 🙏

Oregon state is Oregon’s biggest rival for sure. And we did waste him that one year. It was Gary Andersen’s last year and the program was a shit show. If he would have stayed when coach smith took over I think he would have had an amazing senior year. I watched Tyner in HS and he was unreal.
    Also it’s not Alo-HA. It’s pronounced Aloa (Al-o-uh)
