You guys have been so much help for me as I'm converting my ford tranist aswell. And I'm always a couple steps behind your guys' videos. Massive inspiration for my build, love to catch up one day after covid restrictions and once I finish my build. (Still a while to go... as you know it takes a good while when making everything perfect, especially being my first time... more mistakes) Keen for final van tour video!!
Awesome. Glad to hear your getting some good use out of the videos. Yes it really takes so much longer than you expect right. good luck with the rest of your build!
Great to hear! Yes Vendy really did a good job on the macrame. Although it seems i have all the patience in the world to build a van i have no patience for that kind of thing haha!
I still have a video that i'm planning on doing that will go into much greater detail on the wiring and electronics after a lot of requests. Stay tuned
Thanks for making these videos! You’ve inspired our van build no end and will probably make another one soon. Can you tell me what to you used for the Pex plumbing / crimping?
Thanks so much! Stoked they have been helpful to you. I used the "shark bite" system. It's a push together brass fitting and pex pipe system. Great as you don't need any special tools to crimp ect.
@@saltyvanventures that’s awesome - you’ve totally inspired lots of my DIY adventures 😂 Where did you get the Sharkbite connectors? Have seen their website but Bunnings didn’t appear to have them? I’m in Sydney too..
Hey mate, how did you calculate the battery AH you picked? We’re doing a build of our own and were looking at the same 2000w inverter and told we needed to be looking at 200ah+ battery as a result. Love the channel! Helped us heaps.
It will depend on what you're planning on using with your inverter, how often and also how much solar. We only really run the nutri bullet and a few small things off the inverter which really doesn't even dent the battery. It will also depend on if your planning a lithium or AGM battery as a 100ah lithium is essentially the equivalent to a 200ah AGM, as your not meant to drain an AGM battery less that 50% to conserve battery health where as with a lithium you can drain it to zero with relatively little harm
Great work as usual, love the thinking around doing things more inexpensively. Just be sure of the border crossings carrying plant and or soil. That is assuming we ever get free of these lockdowns.
Well it looks like things are on the improve. Hopefully you guys are on the road before the year is out. It would be nice for Vendy to see something other than a Sydney suburb…
Hey guys! Loved the video - the Airtasker idea is so good for the cushions - I never would have considered that. Just wondering, did you buy your own foam and material separately? And if so, where did you buy them? Thanks!
Thanks! Yes it is a great idea and save a bunch of $$$. We bought the foam mattress from clark rubber, High density with memory foam mattress. Very comfortable. They have fabric samples there that we really loved so we could look and feel it out. So i ordered the one online we liked to the seamstress i found on airtasker who then sewed it up to the cushion dimensions I supplied to her.
Hey guys I love your videos I'm currently converting a van myself and I'm straight up going to use alot of your tricks and ideas. Any chance you'd make a video about the lighting set up?
Thanks so much. glad you're finding the vids useful What particular about the lights are you wanting to know about. Probably not enough for a full video on them but ill probably include them in a future video one the electrical system.
Just what lighting you guys used and did you wire 12v from the main battery ect ect. It would be super helpful to hear it told by someone that's not from North America or Europe. Keep up the awesome work though! Might see you guys out on the road somewhere :)
from the tank to the pump i used a flexible hose as it need to go around a few bends getting under the van. Same with the water inlet, i think it was about a inch hose for that one
An absolute genius. The pair of them.
what a compliment!

Thank you for sharing.
Very impressive with tools and ideas to save money.
Enjoy yourselves in your great adventures.

Thank you! You too!
Awesome info! We are restoring an old Coaster so your vids and tips have been GREATLY appreciated :)
Glad to help!
Beautiful conversion and video. Thanks for sharing and for highlighting our Sirocco II Elite fan! Appreciate you guys. :)
Our pleasure! Honestly the best fan out there by a mile!
@@saltyvanventures Gee thanks!
Looking good. That fan will come in handy in North Queensland.
Sure will when weare parked out the front of your place!
Great work as usual. Love the custom touches, the macrame is beautiful, and yes, my Caframo fan got me through last summer.
Great to hear! Yes Vendy really did a good job on the macrame. Although it seems i have all the patience in the world to build a van i have no patience for that kind of thing haha!
Thrilled to hear that!
You're a legend mate and you've helped me out heaps with your brilliant tips and tricks. Well done.
Greetings from Brisbane.👍
Awesome! Happy to help
Loving the finishing touches! Thanks for sharing x
Thanks so much! 😊
Lovely touches to finish it off nicely!
Thank you! Cheers!
Luckily it was so beautifully taken care of by the previous owner!
Haha yes! Great running into you and answering the mystery of the sticky radio buttons!
Great ideas I will definitely be putting a couple in my van love the vids 😎
Awesome! Thank you!
Good on ya guys. Looks great.
Thank you! Cheers!
So god damn good! Awesome van
Thanks so much!
I loved the upgrades you did. However I was really hoping you would show how you ran the wiring to your new electrical components.
I still have a video that i'm planning on doing that will go into much greater detail on the wiring and electronics after a lot of requests. Stay tuned
The van is looking great! How did you attach the guitar to the wall? Trying to figure out how to do this now
Thanks, The Ukulele is held to the wall with 2 cup hooks and a thin bungie cord the goes under the strings.

Any good plumbing store should have them. I got mine from Reece plumbing

Love that little projector? May I ask, what is the make and model you have there?
This is the projector we bought amzn.to/3h62ueO

Good point! Didn't think of that but we will keep it in mind if the day ever comes where interstate boarders reopen or the international border to WA!

Great job mate! I know, that it's too late to ask you about fittings and pipes, but what did you use when instaled fresh water tank and water inlet?

Watch the video for all the water stuff..
These guys are great.
Love his explanations, filming and common sense
Great video! What projector is that?
I've left a link to it in the comments!
Hey mate, how does the fan turn on and off and also change fan speeds? Cheers
The fan has its own speed controller switch so you just need to run power to it.
@@saltyvanventures perfect, thanks for the info :-)
