lol, I can't imagine anyone listening to Jeff Martin, especially on this track and not instinctively thinking the doors hell when he was younger he even looked like Jim Morrison. The secondary thoughts vary, hints of Eric Clapton, or Jimmy Page with a bit of Pearl Jam or Stone Temple pilots...no it ain't just you

it's the vocals. the music itself is very Zeppelin-ish.

Born in '75, I grew up on my parents music which was mostly pop and rock from the 60's and 70's. At about 13 I started to gradually seek out my own music. Discovering The Tea Party came a few years later, they reminded me so much of my parents music while being cool and alternative in my generation. I was in awe of Jeff's musical ability. And I loved that I could share music with my Dad who later killed himself in 1996. So while most people remember their teen years fondly, they were extra special for me because they also take me back to when I still had my Dad to share my music with 🙂 ❤

As JM once said their songs are not for fast food consummation, no Pop but substantial profound music (well I can‘t remember word for word...). I totally agree with this . you need to take time and may find every time listening to the songs new amazing features like the way Jeff Burrows play the drums in Majestic Song or Stuart played this Mandolin (instead of J. Martin) in Shadows on the Mountainside. Jeff Martins way of singing in Inanna when it comes to the showdown...and so in.. So lovely and passionate all 3 of them. Aww 🥰

Me too! Haven’t listen to their music since years. now I'm catching up on everything. Especially the last 3 Albums. I stopped buying their music after ‚Triptych‘. I am more into the first albums. Transmission and triptych were quite different and I could no longer find access to the music. nowadays I can delineate that. Songs like Psychopomp, the Messenger as well are great. I'm on fire again and am still wondering why this band never had the big success but actually a nice thought that although they get great approval from the music world regarding talent and virtuosity, they never became a band that everyone loved. what everyone thinks is good can't be really good!
